Businessman Herman Cain is the next Republican presidential candidate in line to meet with business magnate Donald Trump.
"Yes, it's true," Cain tweeted Monday. "@THEHermanCain will sit down with @realdonaldtrump in NYC on October 3."
According to Trump, all of the GOP candidates have reached out to him for his support in their presidential campaigns. Cain, fresh off a high-profile straw poll win in Florida over the weekend, is the latest member of the field slated for a meeting with Trump.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry met with Trump in New York City two weeks ago and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney had a meeting with Trump planned for Monday afternoon. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) reportedly met with Trump earlier this year.
Trump has said he is still considering jumping into the race as a candidate himself and could run as an independent if he doesn't like the eventual nominee.
i just watched cavuto interview trump and talk about cain.
trump remarked that obama’s real estate deal in chicago was scandalous.
but cavuto disagreed and backed obama!
even trump noticed cavuto’s support for obama!
Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Romney, Cain...who is next?
Maybe they’re all meeting with him to ask him to please NOT run and f**k things up.
Or...maybe to talk him into challenging Obama FOR THE DEMOCRAT NOMINATION.
The Donald has The Juice.
Whut is you smokin’?
Donald’s great. Just like on his show...he likes to watch...Any statement will come AFTER the candidate is chosen. He wants to see the VP, too.
(What the heck is this, the Presidential Apprentice?)
Better the Presidential Apprentice than the Sorcerer's Apprentice we have in the White House right now.
I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Clever clever!
Maybe the convo is something like this:
Herman: Donald, I know you’ve talked about running. I myself was rather interested in some of the things you had to say, but now, you’re talking about running as an Independent. Why would you do that?
Donald: Well Herman, if I’m unhappy with who the Republicans nominate, maybe I feel I can do better. There is data out there that I wouldn’t just split the vote in favor of Obama, but instead, I’d pull from both sides.
Herman: Do you think I would make a good President?
Donald: Well, I don’t know, but you have business experience, I am sure you’d do a lot better on the economy than Obama has.
Herman: Do you think YOU would make a great President?
Donald: Of course. I’d be the greatest America ever had.
Herman: Here’s an idea. Why not challenge Obama, in the Democrat primary? Then you and I can run against each other, in a fair fight, knowing full well that no matter who wins, the country will be far better off.
Trump has obviously resonated with American's who are sick and tired of what this Obamination is/has done to this great nation. I think the candidate's know that, and want to be associated with that part of Trump...getting America back on track.
Apparently he’s meeting/met with Romney too.
Brilliant!
Associating yourself with Trump is nothing to brag on in my book.
I am still waiting for Trump’s Hawaii investiogators to get some evidence.
(Don’t you think it’s pretty obvious Trump lied and there never were any investigators?)
It’s follow the leader. (Hint: that’s Palin)
“Associating yourself with Trump is nothing to brag on in my book.”
Agreed! Talk about narcissistic. DT defines it. Sorry, but this guy is only out for himself. He loves money and attention way to much. A bad combination for the presidency. Just take a look at what we have now.
