Hello, FRiends.
I've been here a long time and have been privileged to participate on a lot of prayer threads over the years. Never posted one, though -- I'm not even sure where to do so! So, if this needs to be moved, please do so.
My R/L situation doesn't permit me to post a lot of details, but the Lord knows those. I love Him with all of my heart and mind and soul and strength and I do try to always love my neighbor in the same way I love myself. And I know how powerful the prayers of God's people can be.
On Monday I'm having some major, difficult surgery, which is somewhat riskier than usual because I am not in the greatest health. If you would pray for me and my family, I would be so grateful. I humbly ask that you please pray for my safety through the surgery, a safe and smooth recovery, and a good prognosis.
I especially ask for prayer for our teenaged son. This is one of those "my world is being rocked" moments for him. He's a committed Christian with a precious love for Jesus. Please pray that he experiences God's strength and comfort in a new and deeper, maturing way through this situation.
Thank you very much and God bless you for your faithfulness to Him and the needs of others, including those in the body of Christ.

Lord, we pray to be with FightinJAG in his hour of trial. Steady the hand of the surgeons and make the surgery a success, Lord Jesus, in the company of all saints we pray to Thee.
We also pray for his son: may this peril make his faith stronger, to Thy glory, Lord.

How wonderful — just a really deep joy — to be able to be here to update you on my situation, praise God for his love, and thank you, brothers and sisters in Christ.
My family and I are so humbled by your gracious and loving gift of prayer — and so encouraged to see God’s hand at work in so many people, even when the world can seem so dark and heartless. Thank you!
I can honestly say we all felt the literal power of prayer once you guys started ramping up. Sometimes we get an extra insight into the truth that “in Him we live and move and have our being.”
It will be a few more days before we get the complete pathology report and all that. But God honored your requests for an exceptionally smooth and safe surgery — “with bell’s on!” I did have to make a repeat trip to the OR, but, you know, everything worked itself out. My day started with them getting the IV in the first time (a feat almost unheard of my lengthy medical history) and was a series of little victories and encouragements from there.
God worked mightily in the spiritual realm as well as the physical world. Thank you for being part of that.
Now, just because I may get back to being my fully engaged self here on FR, don’t think I couldn’t use the occasional prayer. I’m especially grateful if you’ll shoot up a prayer of THANKSGIVING on my behalf from time to time. I have a “debt” I’ll never be able to repay, you know what I mean?
You know you’ve got my most heartfelt salute to each of you, FRiends.
