New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

“Rush should rename his show, Friends and occasional Rush. ;-)”
You’ve got that right. It’s been this way ever since he got married.
Voters do know what is happening and are listening closely in New Hampshire, however. And judging by the latest polls the nominees in contention there appear to be Romney, Huntsman and possibly Perry.
It was always Mitt’s to lose and out of intransigence or ignorance or god knows what, by constantly trashing the most viable alternative (such as Huntsman) by default have only created a larger path for him.
Ill have to look at his record, abortion? guns? illegal immigration?
I have a bad feeling, being from NJ that he wont live up to my standards.
He won’t. Please do your homework though! :)
Perhaps not, and I didn’t say he would. But he’d win PA.
Exactly Boatbums....none are going to show their hand at this point and would be foolish to do so....much that we see is "winnowing" and dodging for sure. So glad you posted this and right on!
I do my homework, I wish the rest of America would. Was at the Y on a treadmill listening to Obama speak 4 years ago. I thought "cool, change in government, YES!!, he said everything right and I was almost tempted to vote for him", went home and checked his website. Took about 3 minutes...
He's not 280.
I'm 265, and I speak for all plus-males out there when I say that 280 don't look like that.
I am just so lost, don’t know who to vote for. Looks like it will be Perry or Romney. I thought maybe, just maybe...Perry would be okay. Crossed him out last debate.
He did say if he could mate Cain and Gingrich they would be possible VP. I say don’t mate, just pick Cain but it will be like the last election, I’ll be voting for the VP.
Pretty discouraged with the choices.

Romney. Palin. Perry. Now Christie. If Ronald Reagan himself came back from the dead and announced he was running, there would be people calling him a RINO. I am getting sick of the search for the perfect conservative that destroys our candidates while the Muslim Marxist sits back and laughs. There is no perfect conservative. Every candidate is flawed. Instead of attacking each other and giving Hussein Obama fodder for his own ads, they should be attacking the Muslim Marxist non-stop.

AMEN!
Or, Who ya gonna vote for? The String Bean or the Butter Bean???
Ahh, I was wondering what happened to that gun-grabbing Islamophile. He must be in a good mood this week with the grand opening of the Ground Zero mosque and all.
Correct, but some candidates are unacceptably flawed. Not all, some. And alas, they just happen to be the current frontrunners in this race.
That is a very foul language you wrote in the second line of your post. You must not talk to anyone like that on this forum let alone talking to a lady with this disgusting vile language. You should be ashamed of yourself.
“I like Christie - IN NEW JERSEY.”
Yes! We want him here.
The term I used is roughly synonymous with "flashing": which is an accurate if picturesque description of what you Perrywinkles infest this site with on a daily basis.
You know, in case it hadn't crossed your mind yet.
Or you think lurkers and others haven't noticed.
Here's another thought.
Just maybe the Admins are more lenient towards people flaming known trolls.
And a third point.
Just once, try addressing the *substance* of a candidate's positions, whether found in debates, or on candidate fan forums, or newspaper editorials, or the like.
Rather than running around saying "Perry's winning, Perry's going to win, Perry is amazing all comers, Palin will support Perry, Palin can't get in, Palin won't run" like a content-free (and substantiation-free) broken record.
Oh, and if you want "dumpster talk" read up on the Bristol Palin threads from today, or any of the Palin threads to see how liberals talk about Palin as a matter of course.
You know, like a convicted rapist talking about how he gets sexually aroused at the thought of Palin being subjected to intercourse so forceful by a particular NBA star that it distends and damages her digestive tract in addition to her genitalia.
But I didn't notice any outrage on your part about that...
Nice try on the faux outrage towards me, though.
Cheers!
“Christie wouldnt win NJ.”
I missed it. Was he appointed?
No it doesn't matter when he won't close the border of his state which brings them into the USA. They just turn around and walk right back in..so no it doesn't matter because Perry gets the federal funds to keep them out just the same and obvious that's the game in town.
Not even one tenth as foul as the Tyson interview about Palin.
But I don't recall you posting any outrage about that...
My remarks were a description of the other poster's behaviour as a troll.
Tell her to start posting substance and I won't be so vituperative.
Cheers!
