New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Oh you mean the one that swore in the illegal president?
We have yet to see them legalize the ObamaNation Healthcare, which I predict they will do.
I have no problem with that. It’s a consumption tax. It’s a user tax. If you don’t use it, you don’t pay for it.
Didn’t he also LOWER your property taxes...isn’t that the argument you should be using when it comes to across the board taxes?
Who are you supporting and why? Ronny Paul?
that is the most moronic thing I have read in a long long long time. This is our Republic and if you don’t want to help us save it, just get out of the way so we can atleast try to make an honest stand as God is our witness.
So you think voting for GOP RINOs—demrats by another name—is a good thing? Or that it will encourage the GOP to run anything but RINOs?
I don’t expect anyone to be perfect. But will only vote for people who’s words and actions are in sync with the Constitution, Bill of Rights and capitalism. That includes the belief that America is “One Nation Under God”.
You apparently think voting for a label—GOP—is more important than principles. If voting for RINOs is no big deal for you why don’t you register demrat and be done with it. Mayhaps you already are one. If not by party registration, why not try being honest with yourself? By definition, RINO, you already are a demrat.
Has been several times, probably most of them. Joe Kennedy and his Mob money comes to mind.
rofl Mark Levin was right about this guy if this is true.
Personally, I hope Christie does jump in. He can finally be vetted and discarded as a Conservative. Maybe they will get him out of their system once and for all. Same thing with Jebbie, Bobby, et al!
I think Sarah’s waiting to be the last ‘man’ in. She has said, several times, there will be more jumping in. That way she can beat them all and leave no doubt in anyone’s mind !!
Was wondering how many posts it would be before this was mentioned!
Cain is the only one I like, but his chances are slim and none, and slim just left town.
Oh Rita, you and Tex, how about running a poll and see how many people you have convinced to vote for Perry? I may be on the fence now but you are getting close to convincing me.
If you think Jersey is an example of liberty, you are truly delusional. NJ is the state where the pols do not trust people to pump their own gas and they need a FOID card simply to HANDLE a gun in a store.
And if you were able to get a carry permit, you were one of the lucky ones. But being able to defend oneself should not require “luck” or connections.
In NJ, it does. Are you familiar with the case of Brian Aitken? Great state you have there.
(that was sarcasm)
I avoid NJ like the plague.
He should consider laying off fried food 1st.
McCotter quit and endorsed Romney.
Yow....people like you are gonna give it right back to Zero. Principles? You, my FRiend, are the Democrat.
YUP! Agreed. Palin’s so smart, I love her. :)
Exactly. 280 my ass. He’s closer to 400 pounds. The stress of the presidency would put him in jeopardy from a heart attack. Won’t vote for him, but I hope he slims down.
He can't on his own, but what about matching him up with someone, like Santorum or Newt?
va and nc are already in play...mt is not...indy? uh no...obama had a perfect 08 and barely won...so he gonna win under 40%
Serious Presidential campaigns cost tens of millions of dollars. In spite of the Clinton Machine and $11 million of her own money, Hillary's campaign was $9 million in debt by April of 2008.
No serious money = No serious campaign = A phony campaign.
Christie has done the serious preparations needed to at least try to win:
" .... and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, ...."
Certain others have not even bothered.
Some candidate run to try to win.
Other candidates tease at running or play at running in order to get face time in front of TV cameras. (Donald Trump, Newt Gingrich, certain others)
