New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Good grief—Taft’s weight is in pre-inflated lbs. Christie beats him easy.

You are absolutely right. But don’t expect many, if any FRs, to change the current meme: ie Palin is going to run and win. There is no other reality. SO get ready for more and more and more of the muslim in charge.
To: TheThirdRuffian
Bring it, ya lard ass RINO. You’ll get creamed by real conservatives in no time flat.

Christie appointed a muslim to a Court in NJ, and proceeded to lecture the voters that "they needed to get over their prejudice".
I would never vote for him.

I think a post that says untruths is harmful to one’s credibility.

Totally agree, I’m getting tired of the argument for the “perfect” conservative. Take George W for example. He wasn’t the perfect conservative, but he did appoint perhaps the 2 best conservative supreme court justices in years.

I'd like to see "real conservatives" in a position to win our nomination.
Who are they?

I have no doubt Christie will be slimed too. I guess some are just dying for a Mitt Romney candidacy since he is the primary beneficiary of all the conservative bickering and slandering that has been going on over the past several weeks.
The only other candidate that was electable against Obama was Huntsman. All of the so-called Tea Party second tier candidates had underlying issues the defining and vetting process has only served to clarify. And anyway, for the most part, they are going after each other on legitimate points of debate or record, not for not pass the conservative extremity test.

How about simply someone who isn’t a gun grabbing POS!
Christie is anti-2A.
A non-starter.

There are only 4 potential nominees I have seen so far who can spank Obama fearlessly in debates. And yes Virginia, there will be those much watched presidential debates. The rest are too meek and too timid to throw facts in face of the Kenyan socialist.
Newt, Santorum, Cain & Christy.
So far I like Cain.

Hopefully he also considers losing 90 pounds. Just for healths sake. I bet hes 280.********************************
280 seems on the low side to me, but I don't know his height.
On the other hand, if he were to be elected, all of the baloney about diet from the current residents of the white house would go right out the window.

I don't care if he sits on top of mitt and perry and eats both of them... I refuse to vote for him. It takes more than fiscal Conservatism to govern as a Conservative.
