Perry stating that those not agreeing in subsidizing college education for illegals are “heartless” was a horrid response: worthy of a knee-jerk liberal talking point.

God save us from more 'compassionate conservatism'!!

Not free, only 100,000 discount, since any American citizen from another state would need to pay 100,000 more. Have you got your illegal friend papers yet?

I don’t know how they pay, maybe loans, maybe some get scholarships. I am not from Texas. Loans have to be paid back, regardless.

"28 people out of 28 agreed Palin is not presidential material."

I only know of one jerk who thinks that!

If three million people were outside with shovels, ladders, ultralight aircraft, sling shot devices for drugs, we would all have to be border guards. How do you prevent packets of drugs from being launched over?

The Minutemen tried something on a smaller scale and were called "vigilantes" by former Pres. Bush.

Agree with your assertion on the “illegal” part. But, they’re here and why not get their money for tuition?

That’s is a dumb question. Megyn. Why can’t Perry compare and contrast himself to Obama? Why Bush? Is Bush running in 2012?

I think I just saw Sarah Palin in one of the crowd shots. It was a woman with black hair and glasses. Does anybody know if Sarah is in attendance tonight at the debates?

It's called a representative democracy, rather than direct democracy. You vote for representatives, who then cast votes in the Legislature on your behalf. Did you vote against your representative and state senator about this issue? If not, then you are being hypocritical by castigating Perry for it.

“For Sara Palin fans. Sorry folks. Her heart seems to be in the right place, but her I.Q. leaves a lot to be desired. She would be like having another George W. Standing in line recently with other folks at a theater premiere, 28 people out of 28 agreed Palin is not presidential material.”

As opposed to the nine geniuses on the stage right now, of course...

you can bet ammnesty will come with Perry

In one form or another. He's for guest workers, just has never detailed how he would make sure those guest workers made it back to their country of origin.

I had to look at the tv, Perry's voice sounded a bit like Gore's.

Ridiculous. So the state subsidizes every single Texas resident’s tuition? NO. It doesn’t. No matter how much you lie about it.
