Romney (and Perry himself) is killing Perry. Palin will step in and pick up Perry's support and run for the brass ring and win.

No, she won't. We don't like people with an entitlement mentality. She doesn't act that way, but her supporters act that way about her. If she's going to sit on the bench for practice (skipping debates), she shouldn't expect to play in the big game. I would love for her to be in the debates and put an end to all those SNL skit memories.

“she never utters a peep about Romneycare.”

Well, I suppose she might think she needs to knock out Perry, because that’s where her supporters are. I think she should be hitting Romney, because it’s so easy. You’re right, the fact that she’s not says something.

Newt looks better and better. I just have a problem trusting him to stay where he is now. Newt could deal with world leaders, he knows his chit. I honestly think he would be our best choice.

Is that because you do not want him to win the nomination? You know, spreading doubt with comments like “I like him, BUT, he cannot win the nomination..” sheesh. been there done that, heard that nearly ever 4 years on FR and elsewhere. If you dont like Cain just kindly publicly come out and say it, if you do like Cain, support him without reservations and to hell with the polls and join us, and go to the gates of hells for him to win the Nomination. The choice is yours. Please dont straddle the fence. We are almost in October for pete’s sake. A little over only two months away from IOWA 2012!!

[750 million? You’re being sarcastic, right?

No, I did get it confused with ‘7’ in the Alaska population, sorry, it was not intentional.

Texas ONLY has 25,145,561 MILLION people.

Census population, April 1, 2010
#2.Texas; 25,145,561
#47. Alaska; 710,231

Palin can win. She will get my vote. Newt is way too friendly with the left but at one time he was THE Sarah Palin. I like a lot about Cain. But never would vote for Romney or Perry. It’s just a slower train off the cliff.

Presidents nominate the justices. They are the only way to change the make-up of a particular court.

Therefore, presidents are crucial.

Life is a God-given right. It is not an issue. You debate issues. You don’t debate what God has given you. No one has any authority for taking it away or even debating it as you would an issue.

B.S. If a law is passed allowing them to stay and reside in this country permanently legally, then that is AMNESTY.

And in reality, most illegals have de facto amnesty now as a decision has been made not to deport them, which is the penalty prescribed by law for illegal entry.

Hopefully, a new president will change that in 2013, but most have de facto amnesty now.

True. But they are looking to be inspired and Romney will not inspire them. They like Ron Paul because he speaks to their natural desire for freedom. It resonates with them. The GOP must win the youth vote and it won’t happen if they just abandon Obama. They need to feel like they have a voice.

Save your breath. I would not vote for Romney either. They are the same thing. Different accent. Slow train off the cliff as opposed to Obama’s fast train.

>>>>>>You do realize don’t you, deep down in the bowels of your heart, that it’s all over for Perry?

Not at all.

Perry did good in the msnbc debate and he was okay in the CNN debate. Tonight he sucked. Gewt real. See me in a month and we'll compare notes.

Without Perry, Romney will take the nomination and then we're all screwed.

That's what they told us about McCain and we still got Obama. We all held our noses and voted for the old vermin, but you know what? There are a lot of people out there who do not come to this board who simply couldn't do it and we got Obama anyway.

Those were in the heady days before we got to stare down the barrel of Marxism and destruction. McLame was weak and afraid to do anything. Mitt looks like he would slit his own mother neck to get in the WH. I just bring this up to say that there is a far different dynamic this time then 2 years ago.

Romney blow BTW.

The tuition charged at Texas universities is not, in fact, a national issue. Nor does it have any significant affect on any national problem. Nobody wades the Rio Grande drawn by the promise of instate tuition at state universities after three years of residence in Texas and graduation from a Texas high school. The effort to make a matter of national import out of Texas tuition rates is absurd.

You don't like Perry. Fine, I don't much either. But don't kid yourself about what is significant and what isn't.

Bachman’s carrying a grudge for Perry knocking her out when he entered...she was going full bore until Perry took center stage. She’s lost her momentum and needs to get back on top of her game...otherwise she’s done soon.

[Abortion] is a topic that politicians use on the trail, but dont put much effort into in office.

That's because there isn't a whole lot they can do about it once they get in office.

The only real leverage politicians have is appointment of judges to SCOTUS and voting for their confirmation.

Overturning Roe v Wade is next big step. And that's up to the judges, not the politicians.
