Sarah Palin: I am still considering running for president
The State Column | Staff | Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin said Wednesday that she remains interested in seeking the 2012 Republican presidential nomination even as a recent poll shows a vast majority of Republican voters oppose her candidacy.
I think people are still going to be coming and going because there is still time, and Im still one of those still considering, Ms. Palin said during an appearance on Fox News. There is still time And I think on both sides of the aisle, youre going to see people coming and going in this race.
Ms. Palin, who has repeatedly hinted at a potential run for president, said earlier this year that she is likely to announce her decision at the end of the month. A number of political analysts have questioned whether the former Alaska governor will enter the race.
Ms. Palins comment comes as a McClatchy poll reported that 72 percent of respondents who identified themselves as Republican or Republican-leaning independents do not want the former vice presidential nominee to run for president in 2012. Just 24 percent said they support the idea of a Palin presidential bid.
Speaking Wednesday, Ms. Palin said she remains confident that the current field of Republican presidential candidates can defeat President Obama in the November general election.
We need to change the entire game plan. And we need to change the entire team thats been there at White House doing such great damage to our economy, the former Alaska governor said. We need to make sure that we have the best and most qualified. The most vetted candidate to come forth and rise to the surface after this primary process.
I like Palin way more than Romney.
I don’t like Palin stringing the conservative base along as she sells book and gets speaking fees.
I like Sarah, but I thought your post was funny.

I think that Governor Palin will make public her decision about running for President VERY SOON.
(The decision itself, of course, was made the day that she resigned as Governor of Alaska -- if not before.)While it can be great fun to speculate exactly where, when and how she will announce -- my current position is, that I'd like for her to surprise me.
I'm sure that she will. :o)
LMAO — she’s underscoring the stupidity of all the speculation about her not running and being “too late”
....nah, it isn’t worth it.
Ummm. What’s worse? Not being a candidate and getting speaking fees? Or BEING a candidate who is getting paid by the state that JUST elected him for NOT doing his job and has to pay for his security wherever he goes while campaigning?
“Sarah is no Reagan.”
None of them are Reagan, but which one of them has about as much charisma as Reagan - Palin!
Even though undeclared, Palin is doing better than Obama with the Independents.
Apparently he seeks to be the next TOTUS. I heard him say "yes sir" in a totally different voice just before being asked a question by Sean. Now, was he responding "yes sir" prematurely to Sean? Or was it to his puppet master who was whispering in his ear, telling him what to say?
The negatives with this guy just keep adding on. Muslim bud who contributes heavily. Introduces muslim history and culture into public schools. Has a buddy builder who donates 2.5 million over the years, who owns him. The folly of gardasil, and his executive order. His COS leaves to work for Merck. A "former" liberal campaigning for Al Gore. He openly admits only the letter behind his name has changed. Supports and spends taxpayer dollars to educate illegals. And now, we have the horse whisperer.
Are you kiddin me? You can ignore all this, and more? How?
“I like Palin way more than Romney.
I dont like Palin stringing the conservative base along as she sells book and gets speaking fees.”
Why would selling books and getting speaking fees bother you? It is not illegal, immoral or even fattening. :)
Reagan didn’t declare until November, and look at how well that tunred out.
Friday, August 12, 2011 - But she says she will decide by September. Practically speaking, Palin said Friday just outside the hog barn, it has to be. I dont want to be seen as or perceived as stringing people along.
Wednesday, 21 Sep 2011 - Palin May Not Decide on Running Til After Sept. 30
EXACTLY why I want her to get in the debates!
If you are not personally a supporter of Sarah Palin’s, what difference does it make to you, or anyone else for that matter, when, or even IF she will announce?
It isn’t like we’re holding you by the butt or anything. You are free to go. Honest.
Hilarious - you found quotes. Nice going. But what does it mean, what does it mean?
OMG has she changed her mind?
OMG!
What are you, 12? If she announces, she announces. I don’t get it. If she changed her mind, that means .... what, exactly?
I’m a supporter. I was just answering the guy’s question.
Oh, it’s going to be an unconventional election this time around!
Sarah Palin is being courted as a Democratic nominee!

Palin Predicts Primary Challenger for Obama
September 21, 2011
In an interview last night, Sarah Palin remained coy about her own 2012 intentions, but suggested that desperate Democrats would soon mount a primary challenger to Obama.
Excerpt from: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/277856/palin-predicts-primary-challenger-obama-katrina-trinko#
When she said it was not going to be just any normal election, she very well may have meant that in more ways than ever thought possible!
“Obviously you didn’t even bother to check the links for their dates. How LAZY are you?”
Pretty damn lazy when it comes to your fascination with whether or not she changed her mind to announce. She has been saying it’s not a normal cycle, she’s looking at the field, she might not announce when expected, blah blah blah...
OMG! She changed her mind!
Which means what ecatly? No one can explain why it is such a big deal that she might be working this through, or playing us along. I don’t give a shit.
We don’t have a better candidate, in my opinion. I hope she runs.
But what about CHANGING HER MIND?
Well, what about it?
This is one of the more tiresome comments that’s perpetually posted here. What Reagan did about the timing of his announcement in 1979 is absolutely irrelevant. All of the caucuses and primaries have been moved forward significantly since 1980.
If it is accurate, as has been stated on these boards repeatedly, that the Florida presidential primary filing deadline is October 31, a November 13 announcement by Gov Palin or anyone else would be 2 weeks too late to file there. In ‘08, the GOP nominating process was all but over after Florida.
I don’t know your age, but in 1979 there was no 24/7 cable news, was no internet, no Free Republic; there was little conservative media beyond Buckley’s National Review, and only a nascent conservative movement. This is not 1979.
You're welcome, Ron. I agree.
Also I think that some people need to keep in mind that every single day, Palin is carrying the ball - this despite her not having made an announcement yet.
It's a power strategy. Those who might be uncomfortable with the strategy are aware that it's also a winning strategy.
For reference and perspective, I just posted this thread:
13 Nov 1979 Ronald Reagan Announces Candidacy for President of the United States
“If she can’t handle the debates then forget about it!”
Hahahahaha. You’re pretty funny, in a weird sort of hysterical way.
