Why even work today, right? Here in NYC, not only will they house you in a motel, but they will also buy all the booze you want ala food stamps, give you free medical and clothe you. AND if the motel gets a little wet from a hurricane, you can call News 1 and they will send out reporters who will do a story on how cruel you are treated. That actually happened at a motel near me. THAT was what was important to News 1 during a hurricane.

When I was in college we would buy food stamps from the bums for 20 cents on the dollar. We had some great BBQs but got some nasty looks when we were buying huge steaks with food stamps.

We were qualified for food stamps ourselves but found a better way to get them until they began asking for ID.

Pray for America

If someone wants to eat lobster one night and not have any more food for a week, why would you care? If someone qualifies for food stamps, they get a certain amount according to income. What they buy does not change anything. Selling food stamps is something else. I would imagine some really poor people may sell part of theirs for cash to purchase things other than food - like cleaning products, toilet tissue, etc. Food stamps don’t pay for those items. Why all the hate against people who get food stamps? I’m sure a lot of people receiving them have worked and paid taxes over a number of years and Obama’s economy has hit them really hard. Have a heart.

They received food stamps to feed the family during the month. To feed thier “starving” children. I guess the kids eat porter house steak & eggs for breakfast and lobster for dinner!

The kids get to eat free at school. They’re fine.

I don't think the poster went to the trouble of posting in order to change the food stamp recipient. I believe the intention was to change YOU.

When YOU decide that it makes a difference whether a recipient is buying food to feed helpless children or buying food to sell for money to buy drugs, then something might change. Until then, we can expect to see our national debt spiral ever upward until the world realizes that our promises to pay our debts are worthless.

That default will certainly change things.

".... I do not care what food they choose. ..."

Seriously?

If they blow it all in one week then they come back for a handout for food the rest of the month and use up other services

Actually, it was five CASES of Diet Mt. Dew.

Steak and lobster notwithstanding, this person must have something seriously wrong with his/her tastebuds.

Diet Mt. Dew? YUCK!

I’m surprised ‘Latrina Von Babyfactory’ even knows how to cook lobster.

I can’t see some 300-pound black woman with 9 kids from 3 fathers sitting down to a lobster dinner. Doesn’t click with me.

I’d be very interested in the gender and race of the buyer.

That receipt has been making the Internet rounds. BS the poster is the on that found it — unless by ‘found’ he means located on the Internet.

But I see this all the time checking out at the grocery store. Food stamps in my state are now a handy swipe card. Looks like a credit (credik) card. No stigma attached. I’ll struggle to come up with my forty bucks for groceries. Baby momma from the projects loads up on a basket full of goodies.

Then, to make watching this spectacle extra fun, baby daddy pays for the booze, cigarettes, and scratch off lottery tickets.

Or follow the Mexicans doing the same thing out to their parking lot. $40,000 new Tahoe parked outside.

There are under ten food stamp fraud investigating this entire state. They mostly go after store owners. Asians in the hood with convenience stores buy the foodstamps for cash and turn them in for full value.
