Romney is Obama-Lite. Take the simple pledge:

I will not vote for Romney for any reason.

Here’s an idea... How about you stick to your principles and stop being so quick to sell them out for political expediency...

Voting for Romney is surrendering to the Soviet Union rather than the Nazis.

Nice going Ace. Are you SURE you are on our side?

Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Romney: no difference. And none of them are getting my vote.

This is a nice idea but I thought I’d take it a step further. I just sent this to the Republican National Committee.

My first Presidential election was in 1956. I’m proud to say that I voted for Eisenhower. Since then I’ve been presented with choices that could only be described as ‘Frick and Frack’ or ‘Tweedledum and Tweedledummer.’ Each time I dutifully voted for the lesser of the two evils on the ballot. In the most recent Presidential fiasco (the 2008 election) I voted for McCain hoping against hope that he would not survive the inaugural ball and that Sarah Palin would be our President.

This next election stands a good chance of being my last one. Consequently I intend to vote for the person I feel is best qualified for the job. Please note: I did NOT say anything about voting for the best candidate on the ballot simply because the Republican candidate (if the GOP follows true to form) is unlikely to be the person best qualified for the job.

Therefore this little missive is notification from me to you that I will NEVER vote for Mitt Romney or any of the other “good ol’ boys” you and the media seem so intent on forcing down my throat. With the deep dissatisfaction Obama has earned among Americans, you may be able to slip another RINO into the Oval Office but I will work just as hard to get him out as I have to get Obama out. I have the benefit of 55 years of elections and I see that voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. I will not vote for another RINO and I know many people who feel the same way.

I don’t know who will be the Republican candidate. There are a couple campaigning that I could support. There are others that haven’t declared yet that I could also support. Get the right person in the race and I’ll saddle up my scooter and go door to door, handing out fliers. Get the wrong person in and I’ll stay home, even on election day!

“How about you stick to your principles and stop being so quick to sell them out for political expediency...”

Principles you say? How about you take your own advise by not waving the white flag when things don’t go your way?

You’d be the one re-electing Obama, not me, so don’t talk to me about “principles” bub.

You do realize that Romney would never nominate a Scalia/Thomas/Alito to the SC right?

I was here, on FR, lurking leading into the 2000 election. I read that exact same sentiment said about George W. Bush. "Compassionate Conservative" was portrayed as code language to moderates and leftists that while Bush could talk a good game on Conservatism, his heart really lay with them.

Now Bush certainly had his fair share of flaws when it came to adherence to Conservative principles. But his nominations to the Supreme Court (Roberts and Alito) weren't one of them.

Romney may be a RINO ... but he is savvy and certainly not politically suicidal. Getting into office promising Conservative bench appointments, and then reneging on those promises, would be the very definition of political suicide in this environment. The Dems will NEVER support him, and Conservatives WILL be paying attention and will turn on him in a heartbeat if he tries to pull a bait and switch. Which will damn his hypothetical presidency to the dustbin of history. He's smart enough to know that, IMHO, and will play it straight.

The GOP has too understand NO MORE MEDIA DARLING RINO's. I don't care who the Liberal Media pushes in the GOP. I don't care who in the GOP or DEM Party is controlling the GOP purse strings is pushing as they do not dictate my vote. I am not voting for owned their DEMALITES. The last decent POTUS from Massachusetts had the last name of Adams. The other two elected POTUS born in that state since Adams have been devout Liberal elitist.

It really gets me how people will say GOP it's OK if you run the most pathetic persons you can. We'll still blindly like the Democracts do vote for who the party says too.

When is the right time to tell the GOP No More Liberals? Understand this then. If a Liberal be it a DEM or GOP Liberal gets in we have had it. The GOP Liberal will do the DEMs work and like the Bush Family take the party and nation much further left. When that happens the DEMs move further left. Get a clue folks. A message of NO needs to be heard now loud and clear and come next November if necessary that word needs to be upheld. Stop enabling the Liberal side of the GOP. We ave Obama in office because of the huge left direction both of the parties have taken our nation since 1989.

Thank you, I agree. Not only do they expect conservatives to vote for them, but then to garner cred with their “liberal friends across the aisle” they insult us after we voted for them.

Laura Bush saying that many in the party didn't want Harriet Miers because they are sexist. Thanks for that. It couldn't possibly be because she wasn't what Pres. Bush said he would nominate before the election.

McCain going on Leno after his loss. Responding to a question about the next choice for president, he listed governor after governor. Then he got a big old smile on his face and said, “you notice I left someone out?” Of course he meant Gov. Palin.

Now you have Rove out front and center ridiculing conservative candidates. GOP, better figure it out.

Why would I support ANY party that is ineffective, and then mocks me.

Romney is *NOT* a conservative by any means.

Hell, he is *NOT* even a libertarian.

Romney is a full-on fascist masquerading as a Republican.

I ain’t voting for Romney, period.

No amount of whining and fear-mongering by the Vichy GOP brigade on FR and the Romneybots (closeted or otherwise) will convince me to back Romney in the primaries and in the general elections.

If Romney is in, I’m out!

FUMR!!!

Romney will not get the nomination....

Because it would be the death of the Republican Party.

Even the “Elitist Pubbie Leadership” know that.

It will not happen.

As far as the other candidates, I do not think the list is ended. The dynamics of politics can change, it has before.

It is a waste of time fretting about Romney, but I do loath everything he represents.

We need leadership, not another POL......

Ummm...no he’s not. We’re running against the 2012 version of Obama, not the 2008 version. People have seen him and know that they’ve been sold a big line of BS. Obama is ripe for the taking.

If we can’t beat him this year, no matter who our nominee is, it will be because of the selfishness of people JUST LIKE YOU.

I will vote for anyone the Republicans put up against 0.

Another 4 years of this bozo and we will have nothing left to bequeath to our children, Our nation will be finished.

Did you ideological purists learn nothing from the 2008 catastrophe?

“You play “liberal-lite” and we all lose.”

So apparently, re-electing Obama isn’t considered “losing” in your view. Thanks for the clarification and the tortured logic.

Great point on the judges. I am not a Romney fan either, but I don’t think we would get two more Kagans on the court with Romney, as we would if Obama is re-elected. You would have to have your head planted firmly where the sun don’t shine to not vote for Romney if he is the nominee.
