Extremely pathetic. Anyone who let’s the words and actions of others affect their own choices is exactly that... pathetic.
:-)
Now Griz, be nice to that scrawny funny talkin Texas RINO with the prom hair.....
When was the Perry book FED UP written? Whenever that was he knew he was going to run. Yet he stated publicly that he was NOT going to run for the office of president after that book was on the book shelves.
I read Palin envy in your words.
I have NO clue if she will or will not run. AND up until Perry announced his run I have NOT paid any real attention to his character. But his supporters seem not to care about his character, the best they can come up with is 'everybody is or has done it'...
A hair can only be split so many times before there is nothing left. And Perry supporters have just about reached that nothing stage. Oh, I have not 'picked' a candidate yet.
"I can picture her doing that in a stump speech as he begs her to let him become his VP........"
*Rolls eyes at self*
What is really clear is that most Palin supporters, plus other conservatives and FR posters that learn about Perry's fake conservatism simply don't want another RINO to head up this country.
We will work against him in the primaries ...
Nice find——Thompson who? LOL.
Got proof?
Fwiw, it's the amnesty/LaRaza pandering I like the least, it's his achilles heel for conservatives.
CAC, I sympathize with your assessment of many Palin supporters. They aren't all like that, but I remember first being insulted by a hard core Palin supporter in February of 2010 where I was called a fag and a homo because I didn't think Sarah should have resigned from the governorship. I thought that it was strange the first time, but after all of the insults and hatred spewed by a small collective of Palin people, I started to ask the same questions you did.
But keep in mind that the few people here who've let their crush on Palin turn them into major league a-holes, I think the majority of Palin people are good folks. Secondly, I don't think that the rapid Palin Freepers are the ones that she'll be appointing into her administration. Her policy knowledge deficiencies aside, she does undoubtedly have true political talent, and will most likely appoint good folks.
I am not a "take your toys and go home" conservative who lets any sort of personal feelings about a particular politician get in the way of the true goal: defeating Obama. And I would respectfully implore you to be better than those Palin partisans who've damaged her name and been so hateful, and keep our eyes on the prize.
You've got maybe a handful of Palin supporters on FR who say they wouldn't vote for Perry, and you have taken that tiny molehill and built it into Mt. Everest a month before we really even know who all is going to be in the race! It's just comical! You're also taking a pretty serious risk in thinking that somewhere on FR, some Perry supporter hasn't posted that he/she would never vote for Palin.
Do you think Clairity, for example, or some other Perry supporter, speaks for you? What would you think of me if I blundered forward on the premise that ANY Perry supporter spoke for you? You'd think I was pretty silly.
Right back atcha, buddy! {^)
My stars.
Yeah, you need to brush up on the Perry bashing skill set, it’s all coming out garbled. :)
And you're trying to get people to support her? You're doing a crappy job.
The thread where a 'family' friend told US what they knew way back when.
Rick Perry says Social Security is a "Ponzi scheme" and a "monstrous lie" (Perry speaks the truth)

On the other hand, at least my idea was funny and plausible.........you might want to work on that part...../insult
:-)
It happens to all of us sooner or later.
What amazing it seems everyone want to forget this pesky little fact Gov. Palin was the republicain nominee for Vice-President of the United States. Was Gov. Perry? The answer is self-evident.
I don't see the same sort of sentiment here, and I actually see not supporting Perry in the general as more of a badge of honor among your crowd.
Good work, lago tiburon! {^)
Finny is right, there are only a handful from each camp that feel that way. For me, I just hope Palin runs and wins the nomination so there will be no problem.......
There isn't one Palin supporter that actually liked her support of McCain. Outside of the weekend rally she attended with him, she didn't step foot in Arizona again to help him. But he was sure to use her political capital for his gain. Then of course, there's the McCain family swipes at Palin, even even subtle swipes from McCain himself. Then last weekend in Iowa, Palin took a good swipe at McCain with her 'And hobbits? Don't even know what that means (or something like that).'
Picking her (he wanted Lieberman) was allegedly to get the grassroots AND to deflate the 'first black nominee' balloon. What he got was a LOT more than he intended, including a rock star who overshadowed him at every single event they were at. As someone who witnessed McCain/Palin first hand in Grand Rapids, Michigan, I can tell you with 100% confidence the crowd was there to see HER, and her alone. The loudest applause was for her and her alone. And I firmly believe this rally is the one she began 'going rogue' as she began to separate her views from McCain's.
I don't care who Perry supported, or who endorsed him. What I do care about is his love of illegals, his knee-jerk nanny state reaction on Gardasil, his connections to big donors and money (otherwise known as cronyism), his questionable spending record, etc. And I will not vote for a man I do not trust.
With all that said, there isn't a single conservative out there that hasn't endorsed a RINO at one point or another. Whether we like it or not, it is a political game and reality. And that reality includes stumping for Perry. Sorry to break your heart, but if Christ himself endorsed Perry, I still wouldn't vote for him.
But you keep on with your trashing Palin and her supporters crusade. I'd bet anything if Perry gets the nomination, you'll be one of the first crying that she needs to endorse him, as well as having fits when her supporters don't follow her lead.
Well, except for the little detail that Palin's $million is coming from a job in the private sector working in a free market instead of from taxpayer's dollars.
