Rick Perry: Texas tough
THE HERALD EVERETT, WASHINGTON ^ | September 10, 2011 | Rick Horowitz

Posted on 09/10/2011 3:17:47 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

"Maybe it's time to have some provocative language in this country."

-- Rick Perry

"Because it worked so well the last time?"

-- Rick Horowitz

"Bring 'em on!" says the man from Texas -- or was that the previous man from Texas? Whatever.

Must be something in the water. (Industrial waste?) You come out of the Lone Star State and your default settings automatically go to Total Testosterone: You're the long-stridin', sun-squintin', gun-totin', plain-speakin', g-droppin', tough-as-nails, raw-as-a-rattlesnake son of the West with the sheriff's badge and the don't-mess-with-me jawline.

Pass the popcorn -- we think we're in love!

There's something about a swagger, right? When times are tough -- and aren't times always tough? -- we need a man who's tough. The kind of man who takes no guff from nobody. A man's man, not one of those namby-pamby types who wants to be "reasonable." Who'd rather "meet you halfway." Who prefers to "lead from behind."

Not that we're naming names. (But do we have to spell it out for you?)

We need a man who stands tall. A man who sits tall in the saddle. A man who's not afraid to speak his mind, no matter what's in it. A man who says what he thinks, even when he's not actually thinking. If he's got good hair, so much the better.

[snip]

He makes his bets, and then -- because he's a man's man, a swaggery man, a Texas man -- he doubles down on his bets. That's right: He doesn't back down, he doubles down. Try to set him back on his heels and he'll rip your legs off. Then he'll have your toes for breakfast.

Isn't that exactly the kind of man America is hungry for?

Perry is the polar opposite of Obama (who is an affirmative action castrato and gurrly mahn). Perry will obliterate Obama in 2012!
You are right.

The fear is palpable.

The wimpy piss ant sees, hears and tastes the strength emitted by the Texan.

The strength concept to a confirmed progressive “wimp is good” thinker is fearsome.

Sitting tall in the saddle is not really understandable by one who dwells in the clammy darkness of perpetual wetness

Rick Horowitz: ......He's also won two Emmys for his imaginative weekly commentaries on Milwaukee Public Television’s “InterCHANGE.”

Inner city whip-'em-in-shape, progressive poison for the soul.

Obama has killed our economy and now is twisting the knife in, cutting off limbs and bagging us up for the trash heap of history.

Perry will win and he will win in a landslide because he has the “jobs” issue hands down and has become the target of Big Education, trial lawyers, the EPA and other big government programs and supporters.

Americans will sweep Obama out with a tidal wave of support for Gov. Perry.

The kernel..the nugget of it all is taxes, regulation, and immigration

The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....

South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.

Why can’t Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE

Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......

Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.

Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation...and is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.

Real”leadership” is that which will place Flyover Country’s interest ahead of the Feds....haven’t yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.

>>to vote on some TEENY little issue like that is unbelievable

Character is a TEENY little issue to you?   Figures.   Evidently you just don't understand how that works.

>>Our country is DYING.

Well GeeOpie, maybe that's because the Fithcally Conthervative Texican retards infesting The Party(tm) lack the character to come out of the closet, fess up, and take responsibility for the demoralizing A$$Paper they helped the ACORNistas poison it with.

"...and finally, that truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them. "
---Thomas Jefferson

Now answer the question:

Was giving 20 million Texas Tax dollars to Angelo Mozilo and the Thieves at Countrywide Financial an example of the judgment we can expect from President Perry?

The coffers at the DNC must be filling at a snail’s pace.

I don't know about that, but they are at the RNC as people tell them that they will only give to individual conservative candidates.

That boy's about as sharp as a bowling ball.

Cheers!

Tactics, son, tactics.

Sometimes in making a sale it's better not to start with your bottom line.

By the way, nice use of caps-lock on your post. Getting in touch with your inner Texan?

Cheers!

I think the RGA (Republican Governors Association) is benefiting too!

Gov. Perry had record breaking totals for the group. (Just stepped down from his 2nd term as their chairman).

So many Republican governors rock!

Especially an ex-governor from the nation's largest state. :-)
