“In Texas we have death penalty and we use it!”
Ron White
I agree with Gov. Perry, if you commit the most heinous of crimes, be prepared to be subject to the ultimate justice.
And I was sitting in my office at home applauding
I knew the idiot libs would be flabbergasted by this. Brian Williams seemed shocked.
I was impressed.
I think this question was asked solely to generate headlines and reinforce stereotypes among the libs.
But who cares.
Yes, he did, and I was proud of him in that moment, possibly his best moment of the night. Perry needs a debate coach badly, and I knew he would. I wish he’d let me coach him.
In Texas, you do the crime, you do the time, and when the time runs out, your arse is gone.
I loved it. Brian Williams almost looked afraid. LOL!
old brian got his butt handed to him on that question. He barely got it out of his mouth when the audience began to applaud. the candidates and the audience handed both brian and that other guy their butts MORE than once.

It was beautiful!
Did Perry mention the need to do away with corporate tax?
I agree with Perry..I have no problem using ol sparky..the only issue I have is that they have such a long waiting period before the bastards are put to death. I say they get convicted, fry their asses the next day. Would save a lot of money that way
This is my biggest problem with Perry...Prosecutors in Texas are getting convictions based on crappy science and blatant lies, and that has never given him pause to worry about the death penalty?
I agree with Perry on this one.
Everyone started clapping even before Perry answered the question. HA HA HA
As I told some of my irritating NY clients who could never get over the fact that I was from Texas and was a Conservative:
Recidivism rates are quite low for those that receive the death penalty.
There is a time and place for when the death penalty is beneficial to society. It definitely is NOT a deterrent if it is never administered.
The one jury trial I was selected for was a child molestation case. After the man was convicted and we entered the sentencing, we heard about 40+ years of molestation, theft, rape etc. At some point, these animals do not deserve their freedom. And for the very worst offenders, they should forfeit their life.
That was his shining moment.
