Polls favor whoever paid for them. Questions can be asked in such a manner to elicit a specific response. Public polls are meant to influence and are very different than internal polling. And FReepers know that. Because Americans like GunRunner tend to steer their votes toward whoever the polls tell them is leading, that inherent power to influence is of too great a value to remain uncorrupted by the ruling class.
It's a crying shame that Americans allow these private companies to do their thinking for them.

When in Iowa Palin said she's never one a poll but has won elections.
Polls can be skewed. They are NOT to be trusted. Remember when McCain was AHEAD by 8 points? Was that poll right? Who knows. I don't trust them. They are meant to shape opinion.
