NEW YORK -- Mayor Michael Bloomberg today blamed illegal handguns for a shooting that killed three people and wounded two police officers a few blocks from the route of the annual West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn, saying federal officials have not had the "courage" to take steps to control gun use.
Bullet fragments hit one police officer in the left arm and chest last night.

Just the other day, my 1911 ‘45 jumped out from it’s position by the bed, cocked itself, and was preparing to off aimed at my television - just before I was able to tackle it, wrestle it to the ground, and remove the magazine and loaded cartridge.
Darned guns, can’t trust ‘em.

Well, that's a step in the right direction. So, ban illegal handguns.
Ok, if we have a brain we have to assume that if the guns were “illegal” as the article states, then more new laws would not have kept them out of the hands of the real perps, the people using them to commit murder.
So the solution is, of course, to make more guns illegal—since illegal guns caused the problem in the first place.

Right the guns just JUMPED out of peoples pockets and into their hands and then they (the guns) WANTED to shoot innocent people...which just by mere coincidence where selling drugs in the very same neighborhoods...
I keep mine holstered on the bedrail, so it doesn’t sneak out and commit mayhem.

One might expect such behavior from the illegal guns that keep bad company. But it’s shocking to imagine a “legal” handgun acting that in that manner.
So Bloomberg unable to control gun violence in his city, blames federal officials for not controlling gun violence in his city.

Recently a guy in Chicago was beaten by four youths with a wooden toy rifle. I guess we can’t trust even toy guns to behave themselves.
I don’t remember this happening on Rudy’s watch........
Must be the guns; couldn’t possibly be the West Indian thugs that assault each other every year at the West Indian Day Festival.
Must be the inanimate objects.
The people holding the guns weren’t at fault, the guns made them do it!
