Palin waiting game goes on
Concord Monitor ^ | Sept. 6, 2011 | Tricia L. Nadolny

As chants of "Run, Sarah, run" billowed up from the crowd, Sarah Palin was drowned out by a devout Tea Party audience yesterday in Manchester who believe the former Alaska governor fits her own description of the next president.

"We need people with a proven record of reform and who are willing to take on the tough challenges, run into danger, if you will, not run away from it. We need a pro-growth agenda," Palin said at the Tea Party Express rally, pausing mid sentence as the chants built up.

"We simply don't have time to be bogged down in internal conflicts and friendly-fire conflicts," she said. "The time to secure our future and preserve the blessings of liberty and restore our economy, it's now.

"The Tea Party movement is bigger than any one person and it's not about any one candidate."

But some yesterday said her plan is coming too late. They're tired of the waiting game.

"I think she's dragging it out too long as to whether or not she's going to run," said Robert Clarke of Manchester. "She may be able to deliver a good message, but she needs to get into gear or get out of the way."

Actually I used to be very pro-Palin when she was the VP nominee, she was like a breath of fresh air. I was all for her to run and win. But over the past couple of years she chose to become a celebrity and foster a cult of personality, which was disappointing, but I was still going to support her, if she had made a decision one way or another and acted upon it.

But the fact that she still didn’t announce leaves me with only two reasons why:

1. She can’t make up her mind, after thinking about it for 3 years — what kind of president would that make?

2. (and I think this is the real reason) She knew she was not ever going to run for president, when she quit as governor of Texas, but is having fun teasing and fooling everyone, while she rakes in the $$$. I don’t begrudge her for taking advantage of her celebrity status, after all we are still living in a good capitalist system. But for her to KEEP teasing and keeping her supporters dangling is NOT a good quality, it shows she doesn’t really care about her supporters.

And I finally faced reality about Palin.

Now I know why I can’t get an honest answer from you. You wouldn’t know honest OR honorable if it crawled up your leg and bit you on the butt. So much for you having even the most miniscule amount of credibility.

“She knew she was not ever going to run for president, when she quit as governor of Texas,”

On the other hand, perry promised to serve out his term as governor of Texas and NOT run for governor of Alaska...and boy were they relieved! ROFL
The stupid. It burns!

Actually it was Sarah who said she would have to decide by September for practical reasons, and that she didn’t want to be seen as stringing people along. The reality is she has to declare by November to be eligable for all the primaries and caucuses.

Right. I don't recall her mentioning October at all.

As soon as Sarah announces that she is running, she will be hit by some of the same garbage that she got the first time.

Well then...the safe thing for Ms. Palin to do is declare on November 7, 2012 that she is running for president. That way she'd only be exposed to "the same garbage" for less than 24 hours. *rolls eyes*

Governor of Texas? Or have you got Perry on the mind?

You post these media bashing Sarah articles by using so called Palin lovers that are "just tired of waiting".

You have done it several times over the past couple of days, and you then step back out of the mud slinging.

The old pissant had the guts to step into the fray, it got him banned when he went nutz, but he was in the fight.

War has just been declared by the governemnt, the unions, and minoroties on the rest of the American citizenry.

There is no one I see who would be a better or more trustworthy leader in fighting back and restoring America then Sarah Palin.

Why is it that Sarah's decision draws more press coverage (and angst) than issues such as ECONOMY, JOBS, UNION CORRUPTION, NO U.S. SENATE BUDGET FOR OVER TWO YEARS, and THE DEMOCRAPS POLITICS OF FEAR, DIVISION, and HATRED combined?

What happened to the right and FREEDOM of a person to decide when and if to become a canddate? The pimps of the election industry have a worn out template of candidates, their campaigns and that the MEDIA is really the controlling force in elections.

BECOME PART OF THE CHANGE!

LOL,

Some posters just can't help themselves, can they?

The Snark virus overtakes them, their hidden agenda starts to come out, and then one morning, they look in the mirror and — they've become Pissant.

Sadly, they become pre-ZOT Zombies, posting mindless snark and then eventually go over the line, posting something that would gag a Spork Weasel.

Watch for it, it appears to be coming soon.

“Rickerhauser did say Palin’s message of cutting federal spending and returning power to the American people resonated with him, but he and others worried a Palin candidacy would simply steal votes away from a candidate with a better chance of beating President Obama.”

This man misses the point that BOTH parties serve the Communists of The New World Order and it won’t matter which party wins the Presidential election!

Sarah really is the ONLY alternative!

Your article says that she said early September in the Hannity interview. She didn't. I just found the interview and played it back.

Sean asks her if she has a timeframe regarding thinking about making a final decision. She says, "Well, legally, of course, there are timeframes, and that time is...it's coming rapidly in front of all of us. You know, August and September you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring, so that's basically the timeframe."

I think Palin is sitting back and watching events unfold.

Bachmann’s campaign is in disarray because Rollins has bowed out.

Perry won't be at the big debate this week because of the fires in Texas.

Both of those events do make a difference in those campaigns.

For you, though, you're watching Palin and you see this as her just waiting patiently, on the sidelines. Events are unfolding all around her and she isn't in the middle of the fray, having to fight for position or causing a dust up. The media isn't flocking to her, she's not generating great sound bites and making a lot of money. She isn't attacking her Perry or Romney. She's watching them struggle through on their own.

And it's driving you mad with frustration because you want to be in a position where you can defend her and attack those who back the opposition.
