Obama is toast. The only question now is, will a real conservative/libertarian who understands and is willing to fight for free markets please stand up, or will RINOs snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Go Palin.

I hope she mentions Solyandra by name. GE too, as far as that goes. And that she gives specifics.

If Palin is not going to run then why has she been ripping Perry almost continuously since he announced?

Sarah Palin is proving to be a hustle. She creates great expectations and then lets down. This speech could be made by anyone at any time and people are driving long distances for THIS?

I doubt very much Sarah told anyone the contents of her speech- where are they getting this?

It’s good to hear she is taking on the two leading CINOs in the race, Romney and Perry.

Darn. I will be on the road this Saturday and probably won't get to be a part of the live conversation. Go Sarah. Give them both barrels.

This discussion is silly. Palin is not a candidate. If she gets in, we'll see what she says and how she does but until then, talking about what she is “going to do” is a pure fantasy. Second, Palin isn't aiming at Perry or attacking him. Palin and Perry have a friendly personal relationship. As much as some people hate to hear it, they are fairly close ideologically—moderate conservatives. This reporter wrote an article to stir the pot. He succeeded.

Quite frankly I’ve given up on Palin. She has had more than her 15 minutes of fame and it appears to me that she is trying to stretch it out. I did support her in the past but I have come to realize that I can’t criticize liberals that remain ironfast in their crazy ideas if I do the same – I’m no worse than they are. A close unbiased look at Palin’s record reveals a not so nice picture. She quit as governor of Alaska; her TV show was short lived either by cancellation or non-renewal; a movie about her bombed as did a recent book about her. The way she’s been running around lately and her supposed bus tour or whatever that farce was gives the appearance that she has absolutely no idea of her direction…..no way to lead this country as our current bozo proves to us. I don’t know that much about Perry but from what I hear so far, he just might be the real deal and I look forward to the debates and his proposals.

Though she will not call Perry out by name

RCP will make it about Perry anyway. Didn't she endorse Perry in his most recent re-election?

Call me crazy, but I suspect what Scott writes is probably true. However would she telegraph to all these outlets that in fact she is not announcing on Saturday?

I for one am not expecting her to announce on Saturday, but I still think she could, the surprise wow factor would still be there, everybody writing that she will not announce etc.

I love the fact that she will be going after Perry, I believe that!

I'd vote for Palin over any of these guys, but I believe she missed the boat. If she wants/wanted to run, the right time to announce was anytime between her bus tour and her movie premier. She had all the momentum then. Perry wasn't in yet. I think if Palin got in, Perry wouldn't have. If she gets in now, she and Perry split the vote and we wind up with Romney.

Guaranteed.

Of course I don’t like “crony capitalism”, but IMO it’s bad timing to be focusing a negative of capitalism, just as we’re asking Americans to support the unleashing capitalism as a way out of our economic mess.

Good, it’s about time somebody started ripping into it.

Needs to be ripped when Republicans engage in it as well.

according to a source close to Palin and familiar with the content of the speech.

Any leaks by "Palin staff members", "event organizers" or "sources close to Palin" are always suspect at this point. Look what happened this week!Until I hear the speech, I ain't believing anyone but herself!

Trust but verify!

I hope Palin has this in mind:

Did Obama Administration Cut Corners For a Green Energy Company?

The Obama administration bypassed procedural steps meant to protect taxpayers as it hurried to approve an energy loan guarantee to a politically-connected California solar power startup, ABC News and the Center for Public Integrity's iWatch News have learned …

The Energy Department in March 2009 announced its intention to award Solyndra Inc. a $535 million loan guarantee before receiving final copies of outside reviews typically used to vet such deals. ...

The loan guarantee, the administration's first for a clean energy project, benefited a company whose prime financial backers include Oklahoma oil billionaire George Kaiser, a "bundler" of campaign donations. Kaiser raised at least $50,000 for the president's 2008 election effort. ...

Several political allies of the president have ties to companies receiving Energy Department loans, grants or loan guarantees. ...

That's from May and as we know Solyndra Inc. just went into bankruptcy.
