When you hear every single liberal media outlet in the country say, "We will know more about Rick Perry after we vet his 11 years in office," you need to understand that what they vindictively mean is: "President Obama and his followers will be proud of us after we are done with the mother of all smearing campaigns against the conservative governor of Texas."
Not since Ronald Reagan has a Republican candidate for president evoked such outright fear and loathing from the mainstream media and the far-left.
They are flat-out petrified of Perry and are desperately trying to kill off his candidacy before it can take hold. Why?
Simple. As they suspiciously heap praise on the likes of Jon Huntsman and even Mitt Romney, they increasingly worry that Perry has the best chance to defeat their handpicked socialist messiah now occupying the Oval Office.

Thanks. :)
They’ve been descending on him for 22 years. Still, not a hair out of place. And THAT really p!sses them off.
I don’t want Perry near the White House until he fumigates the place.
Nuts. People like that buy and sell guys like Rick Perry. If they weren't already sold on Mitt Romney, it would be just an inconvenience that Rick Perry comes from below the salt and probably should have gone to air-conditioning repair school instead of Texas A&M.
He ain't all that, as you will find out presently, when he does his "alley-alley-in-come-free" for 25 million more Mexicans the day after he gets sworn in. If he gets elected. Or should I say "adlected" instead? It's how the RiNO patriciate likes to do business.
Really, wise guy? Where is this wonder-governor you speak of?

The "S" tag is a little Mother's Helper for you there, sport .....
I simply see reality for what it is, which is why I no longer support her. And I have never been as hateful or outright as nasty about Palin than the likes of your so called group of “pure” Conservatives. The “Hypocrite” label clearly belongs on your forehead, not mine.
Hey “Sport”, take a look under the name Texas. It pretty much speaks for itself. “Nice” people like yourself should just know that, wouldn’t you think?
Funny, I was about to notice the same thing about you, Sport.
Pills much? Miss a dose?
As thou dishest out ..... besides, with a handle like that, all in caps ...... talk about punching above your weight, and with a glass jaw!
Perry ain't all that. He rates somewhere around "okay, if we can't get anybody better to take it, and if we don't mind four years of Pigs at the Trough again -- and another Shamnesty." Wake up and smell the coffee.
Don't bet your life on that. There's stuff out there the mods won't let on FR. Leave it at that, except to say that the packages are ticking.
Here's another thing. It makes a big difference to say "They have been going at him for 11 years and so far zilch" on the one hand -- that used to be the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval on an honest candidate.
But it reflects the corruption worked in the electorate by the Clintons then to go on to say, "It is not likely they will find any significant skeleton, at least not a campaign endng one."
That difference represents the success that Bill and Hillary Clinton and Dick Morris and Carville and Begala had, in running down people's standards of honesty in a candidate.
Glass Jaw? I hardly think so. I have a Purple Heart that says otherwise. I don't live and breathe to suit your definition of who or what I am. I already have a firm grip on that fact. So go harass someone else. I am not your oyster.
No, you went after that other poster and imputed mental instability and incapacity to him/her. Go for it, if you want to. But I won't coddle you if you do.
There’s stuff out there the mods won’t let on FR about Perry?
Really? Because I’ve seen lots of posts about Perry, mostly negative, that the mods allow regardless of the factual info.
Gonna be an ineresting election yr.
(Since you mentioned the term hypocrite.)
Between 2007 and now, we have lost thousands of good FReepers in regards to this very issue.
Perry ain't all that.+1He rates somewhere around "okay, if we can't get anybody better to take it, and if we don't mind four years of Pigs at the Trough again -- and another Shamnesty."
I've seen several pretty rough ad hom comments directed at Perry critics, and one of the annoying ones is "Perry haters" and that "3 ... 2.... 1" stuff, as if the critics were somehow automatons and not exercising a higher mental faculty when they lodge their criticisms of Perry and their complaints about the fulsome overcharacterization of his three terms as governor, the first of which someone else was elected to, and the second of which he won with a whopping 40% of the popular vote.
Perry is well accepted by a broad range of voters, not just a few hard core fringe voters. Even Reagan could not have won among this current batch of so called “Conservatives”. It seems that according to them, nobody is perfect enough, other than one, who is greatly exaggerated and embellished.
Anyone who tries to point that out, is viciously attacked.
Is that what this forum has come to? Or is it what it once was? A collection of varied Conservatives who are joined together in a common cause, to defeat the Left at all costs, like it was during the close of the Clinton Years?
>> where’s the proof that the establishment is afraid of Perry?
You need look no further than Karl Rove’s bashing of Perry.
