Yep, I can hardly wait to hear the praise for 0bama. (sarcasm)
I bet there will be contrasts with Katrina, and the MSM will say that 0bama’s firm leadership and cooperation with state governors and local officials got us through this hurricane. I think the stories are being written right now. No matter how bad things will get, the stories will praise 0bama and hint that things would have been much worse without his leadership at this critical time.
Heck he may even get praise for cutting his vacation short to get to his command post.
Bad weather, no matter where, or what type, is nothing to just ignore.
If it weren't for the need of the media and the WH to hype every incident that they think could benefit them personally, it would be easier to get some straight info as to what is happening across the East Coast.
As it is, we are limited to the only decent source. Free Republic.

The problem for the media is that everybody has access to the same weather data. If you ignore the media and look at the data yourself youd know lickedy split that this will be no more than heavy rain and a stiff breeze for the northeast.
Ps check the stats on roof collapses in new england from last winter
Hundreds upon hundreds due to the heavy snowfall. Not a peep from bloomberg or obama or twc
From what I can find, part of the roof of the Goldsboro Mall caved in, not the entire mall. Water pools in depressions on those ubiquitous mall flat roof designs. One little opening in the roof turns into an indoor rain event.

Figure alot of rain and wind in NYC - Maybe gusts of 70 MPH.
Hurricane disaster ? Doubtful.
Fairly strong tropical storm or nasty Nor'easter probably.
