The Seattle Mariner broadcasters felt it in Cleveland. It spooked one of them, but the other one (Dave Henderson) said basically that it was “no big deal.” Since he was there at the ballpark for the 1989 San Francisco quake, he has a point.
Native Californians yawn at anything under a 6.0.

So this will shut down Washington for at least a day while the inspector brigade sharpens their pencils, etc.
Imagine if this had happened during the debt ceiling crisis! There’d be finger pointing and “end times” and retribution talk all over.
Maybe we need EarthquakePAC to affect policy in DC?!

Sounds like it’s a very widespread area..which could mean that the fault slipped over a great distance..thus reducing the stress...and the magnitude...had it locked up it would have been much worse at the epicednter..
