Sarah Palin has yet to make clear her intentions for the 2012 presidential elections, but she remains vocal in the debate over President Obama's performance.
In a Fox News appearance on Thursday, Palin blasted President Obama for taking a vacation on Martha's Vineyard - and predicted that "he will come back early" after hearing from disgruntled Americans.
Palin, a paid Fox News contributor, called Mr. Obama's vacation "very, very tone deaf" considering the nation's current economic woes, and said she would have acted differently.
"I wouldn't if I were he, especially to Martha's Vineyard," she said. "I think he will hear from enough Americans that he will come back early."

I heard her say this....the more face time on TV he has...the lower his numbers go....

I hear it’s quite roomy in there too. A little Spartan, but very roomy.
Not until he gets his three or four rounds of golf in will he leave.
I believe this is the 4th article I’ve seen from the two interviews Gov Palin gave yesterday (Megan Kelly and Greta). Wow!
Dubya takes a vacation.
Sarah is brilliant that way.
You wish.
Palin is coming, and the Tea Party is coming with her.
LOL.
Best. Graphic. Ever.
Here's a quick look at how long and where commanders in chief, from Carter to Obama, spent their breaks from the Oval Office.
President | Vacation Days | Favorite Destinations |
---|---|---|
Barack Obama | 90 in first two years | Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; Kailua, Hawaii |
George W. Bush | 1,020 in eight years | Crawford, Texas; Camp David, Md. |
Bill Clinton | 152 in eight years | Martha's Vineyard; the Hamptons, N.Y. |
George H.W. Bush | 543 in four years | Camp David, Md.; Kennebunkport, Maine |
Ronald Reagan | 335 in eight years | Santa Barbara, Calif. |
Jimmy Carter | 79 in four years | Plains, Ga. |
What a contrast between the two.
True, plus I don’t think anybody would be envious of someone taking a vacation to Crawford Texas even in a bad economy. If the economy was doing much better bambi’s trip to MV would be no big deal. But in the context of a bad economy getting worse, him going to MV now is just incredibly bad judgement, unless of course, he knows he is history just wants to max the perks till the end.
You are correct. Sarah has said she will make an announcement on Sept. 3. So for CBS to say she has not yet made clear her intentions is a lie.

They can do this becasue they count all of the time that Bush spent at his ranch in Crawford, Tx. However, Bush was not on vacation just because he was in Crawford rather than the Whitehouse. The ranch was equipped for him to conduct a full workload while there.
Outfitting the ranch for work and security was a one time expense. After that, the total security bill for the time Bush spent at Crawford during a single year was less than the amount spent for Obama's date night in New York City.
Obama has incurred recurring expenses setting up work and security systems in Hawaii, Martha's Vineyard, etc. They have all been high dollar areas for the ongoing cost of security compared to the low cost of Crawford. Hotel rooms for the Military and Secret service for "Date Night" in New York were $600 per night. Rooms in Crawford are $600 per week.
I’d be curious about how many official functions Obama has undertaken while on vacation vs Bush.
Reagan was known for not doing business while at the ranch. I’ve seen his former secret service detail talk about the ranch being his fortress of solitude. Foreign visitors were welcome but they weren’t welcome to do business there.
Where did you find that very frightening image of Barack/Benito? It’s chilling.
Thx
1020 vacation days = 127 a year.
Then there’s this...
Crowley is lying. Bush spent 1,020 days of his presidency on vacation. To put this into context, John F. Kennedy spent fewer days in office, 1000, than George W. Bush spent on vacation. Bush spent 487 days at Camp David, 490 days at his Crawford ranch, and 43 days in Kennebunkport. George W. Bush spent 69 days in Crawford during his first year in office. In contrast, according to FactCheck.org, Obama spent all, or part of, 26 days of his first year in office on vacation. This was less than all three previous Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, but more than the two previous Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

I’m trying to find a source to debunk this. Someone help me out here.
Thanks.
