But keep living in fantasy land.
Right now, I think Perry is the best candidate we’ve got. I just don’t go in for velvet painting style aggrandizement of politicians. I don’t need to see the man beautified like a Jesus portrait on a porcelain plate to vote for him. I find it slightly disturbing, actually.
Perry is not my first choice, but I don’t think the 2012 election will be the cakewalk some expect. I hate to admit it, but I think it will take a politician to beat Obama - someone who is good at reading people and saying what they want to hear.
If Perry gets the nod, I’ll support his election. I will also watch him like a hawk, because I do not trust his gut instincts. Once in DC, surrounded by liberals, I think he’ll sing a very different tune - or at least will try.
Isn’t it funny we haven’t really heard much from Perry on any national issues until June.
A Perry/Palin ticket would unite the conservative division and heal the nation.
Gag me with a spoon, did I write that?
Perry isn't perfect by any stretch, but yes, I agree he's the best thing going right now. He needs to tone down the rhetoric a notch or two -- he can do just as well without it. Not perfect, but as usual, "the perfect is the enemy of the good".
How about VP? I wouldn't mind Palin as second-in-command. I'd prefer her to Bachmann, although I prefer either lady to any of the men in the running.
This ticket will never happen.
Thank you! Thank God there are still some here with good reading comprehension.
Ah, I was WATCHING this — DON’T read too much into this. She was AGREEING with Rick about a SPECIFIC POINT, not ENDORSING his candidacy. A few minutes later, she made that CRYSTAL CLEAR and said she was STILL considering entering the race — that NOTHING was out of the question. NICE TRY POLITICO. Wishful thinking lol
Well since he asked for her help, I wouldn’t expect her to say something bad about him, would you? She endorsed him for Governor very early because she knew the challenger, KBH would be much much worse.
Then again it could be Palin/Perry.
Politics/strange bed fellows.
This isn’t just for that campaign. Their close relationship has been documented. By all accounts, she likes and respects him.
So....a vote FOR a certain candidate s a vote against his or her opponent? Then we better not hear any FReeper refusing to vote against Zero’s opponent or we can justifiably view it as a vote for Zero!
I bet obimbo really hates these peas. Palin and Perry, force these “P’s” down obimbo’s throat.
That’s a good thing for a Governor who holds state, not Federal, office.
I want my governor focusing solely on my state.
And what does he think of her?
Nit picking is so lame. But if that’s all you have.....different words from two different people....go for it.
Those two P’s have barry all wee wee’d up!
Perry is kicking down doors and he is also my candidate and I know he is a tough sob. Palin walked around for quite a while saying "fight like a girl" or "woman up" and she did fine
Perry is showing the Republicans how to "fight like a man" and it scares them badly and I like it.
For the record, I like the idea of conservative men and women all fighting against this group.
What you posted was confused, if 61% of Texans voted against Perry’s reelection, then of course 61% were voting against him and for someone else.
