Palin: 'More power to Rick Perry'
By: Alexander Burns
August 18, 2011 03:16 PM EDT

Sarah Palin, who said once again today that she's still open to a 2012 presidential bid, tells Fox News's Megyn Kelly that she's on Team Perry when it comes to the Federal Reserve:

“More power to Rick Perry for calling it like he saw it, and the president in his typical reactionary way, did elevate Rick Perry and what it is that he had to say. And what Rick Perry had to say is what I wrote about 10 months ago, about quantitative easing and how monetizing our debt and printing more money in order to, essentially, devalue our dollar and devalue the problem that we’re facing today, with the debt that’s being incurred. What Rick Perry was talking about is what many of us have been talking about for many, many months, and that is the danger of, now, a QE3 program being put into place. And you know, he used some of that rascal type of rhetoric that he uses there in Texas and evidently the president took some issue to that. But it’s evidence, too, though, of our president’s arrogance, unfortunately, to tell a presidential candidate what to say, what not to say.”

He's my governor too.

How do you know Palin is the real deal? Her record as governor doesn't prove that. It's your opinion based on her rhetoric.

Perry has the record and was elected 3 times in Texas by wide margins over his opponents. And don't even bring up the 4 way race with Kinky, Strayorn and Bell, he still won by 10 percent against a RINO and a conservative libertarian type and a Dem.

EXACTLY what I’ve been saying. Can’t believe FReepers r so willing to throw their value system out the wondow for the guy....I fell the same about him as Romney...... AND I REFUSE to hold my nose and vote ever, ever again. The freakin’ RINOS can hold their nose for once. I swore after McCain ‘08, that I would never vote for the likes of him again. Well, he’s back....only difference is this time he has better hair and a Texas accent.

What you shouldn’t like is deception that you are putting your own words in her mouth and saying she said it. She said she spoke about it 10 months ago and while you want it spoken about - suddenly you have a problem. She didn’t say it was her ‘idea’ - that’s your PDS speaking. Keep it real.

You should be most thankful she is doing what she is doing - after all, it’s for our country. Those with ‘issue’ problems can’t see that far.

Reelection with 39% is not exactly an electoral power house.

Yeah in a 4 way race it was still 10 points over his next closest. He beat Kay Baily by over 20 points in the Republican Primary last year and Bill white by double digits.

Too bad Palin and Pauls supporters are so deceptive. It makes their own candidate look like shit. I see Palin is on Dobbs trying to stay relevant.

I just don't like Palin acting like it was her idea.

Well, she wrote about it 10 months ago, way before Perry did, and her critique was a good one.

Just the facts.

LOL, there is nothing deceptive, when he won election in 2002 with an impressive 58%, then one has to take notice 4 years later when 61% of Texas votes AGAINST him.

You can’t hide that election result.

You can also clean up your language.

My history book wrote about it 25 years ago. Maybe Perry read it. Of course Palin didn't say it was treasonous she said she wasn't sure if it would work.

Do you live in a bubble? The right love it too. Patton said he makes it dirty when he wants it to stick.

By the way, the word just means poop.

By the way, all the guys in my old platoon cuss. The guys in my brother's fire department cuss. My dad who owns a small business cusses. My father in law who runs a small ranch in central Texas cusses. Oh and my friend who is a State Patrol Officer and actually guarded Perry in Austin cusses. And we're all Christian believers.

You sound offended that she caused a stir before he did, good gosh, if only she had called it treason, then she would have been first? Here is some of the reaction she got, was this bad? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703514904575602231815453378.html

Did you see his quote about obami being upset?

I love it.

“The rhetoric will probably get heated. I’m going to be outspoken, I’m going to be passionate, I’m going to be calling it like I see it,” Perry told the Herald in a one-on-one interview, as he shrugged off Obama’s recent scolding that he should be “more careful” about what he says. “And if I hurt the president’s feelings, well, with all due respect, I love my country and I love future generations more than I care about his feelings,” the 61-year-old governor added.

If you think that cussing in mixed company and in the printed word is manly, then you are no man.

Well done Normy. I’m not saying Perry is bad, but which one do you want as president? Sarah has a way of really cutting and dicing with a fine blade. I write a lot, I’m a smart guy (as well as many Freepers), but she is above my pay grade in the ability to slice and dice right off the cuff.

I think she was guarded. She was picking the lock, Perry smashed through the door with a sledgehammer.
