I can certainly buy that. I've seen too much hero-worship over the years myself, and at best it usually leads to dissapointment. Or worse. Then again, people are people after all, and one person's masterpiece is another man's 'Elvis on velvet', if you know what I mean.

Perry isn't perfect by any stretch, but yes, I agree he's the best thing going right now. He needs to tone down the rhetoric a notch or two -- he can do just as well without it. Not perfect, but as usual, "the perfect is the enemy of the good".

How about VP? I wouldn't mind Palin as second-in-command. I'd prefer her to Bachmann, although I prefer either lady to any of the men in the running.

I think Pawlenty stands a good chance of being Perry’s VP pick, should Perry win the nomination. Not saying it’s my favorite idea, just saying I think there’s a good chance of it.
