Obama's State-of-the-Art Tour Bus Made in Canada

WASHINGTON -- President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost U.S. jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The New York Post has learned.
The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.
It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.

Is it possible that the $1.1 mil is the price for the base Prevost chassis and the all the interior package and armoring that was installed in Tennessee by Hemphill was additional cost?
Gotta be a lot of armor. Wonder what that bus weighs?

That sounds more like it. Figure $1.1m for the base bus and then God knows how much to have it up-armored and have all the Presidential toys fitted. I’d be surprised if that thing ended up costing a total of less than $3m.

Wow Sarah Palin spends her own money to buy clothes and shelter and the media blows a gasket. Obama spends over a million dollars of taxpayer money on a blinged out tour bus from Canada during the worse recession in American history and the media cheers.

Anyone seen any reporting on where the money for those buses came from? Was it authorized by Congress? If so, when? If not, where did the USSS get the money for those buses..?
