Brianna Del Rio arrested after nut cracker attack on man

Palm Bay, Florida -- A 19-year-old Palm Bay woman faces charges after police said she beat a man with a wooden nut cracker, then slapped and bit him following an argument over messages left on her cell phone.

Brianna Del Rio was charged with battery after police were called to a residence in the 1800 block of Plantation Circle to investigate a disturbance.

Police officers arrived to find a man identified as Del Rio's boyfriend with cuts on his face and a bite mark on his side. Del Rio will have an Aug. 24 hearing on the charge.

Police said the couple had gotten into an argument Aug. 6 over the cell phone messages, prompting Del Rio to attack the man, first by slapping him, then by hitting him with a wooden nut cracker and other objects.

Del Rio told police that the man held a gun to her head but officers did not find her story to be credible, reports show.

Officers arrested Del Rio and transported her to the Brevard County Detention Center in Sharpes.

God, I miss that.

Had a few of those myself. Everytime I think I'm missing it I run through a short mental checklist:

Do I really miss the visits from the Police?
Do I really miss the broken glass?
Do I really miss the trips to the hospital to visit her when the wheels come off?
Do I really miss having to keep bail money around the house?

If the answer to any of them is "no", I decide I don't really miss those days all that much.
