Biggest losers: Tim Pawlenty and FoxNews

They kept Romney out of it. To much money to hurt him right now. The media wants him. I will make sure I select the right candidate for the right reason. If the best candidate has some baggage so be it. At least I know where that candidate is from.

Ron Paul will continue to raise lots of money from his followers, but he effectively ended what little chance he had tonight with his comments on Iran and its acquisiton of nuclear weapons. He is a dead man walking.

An embarrassment for Fox News, for Ron Paul, and to a lesser degree for Tim Pawlenty.

Not for the others.

I think the one about marriage they asked Bachmann made up for all of those. That was nutty!

“I’m loving Santorum here. “The states don’t have the right to do wrong.” - A. Lincoln”

Yes - he didn’t get that much talking time but was really good in what he DID have. I especially liked (a lot) the way he took on Ron Paul. I noticed immediately after it was over, RP looked like he was still arguing with him!

ANYONE who avoided this massacre won. This was an embarrassment tonight.

Well, I think Bachmann pretty much avoided embarrassing herself (except for her absence, maybe).

Too bad Santorum and Gingrich aren't still on their respective floors at Congress anymore.

Wow. Very impressive resume. Better than Romney or Huntsman who’s daddies gave them a company to run.

He was terrific on the pro-life question too.

I wish he had gotten more time. He may not have a thrilling personality, but he's solid as a rock, IMO.

I agree with your description of the conventional timing and so forth. But if the public is lukewarm on the "chosen" candidate at the time of the party convention, a different sort of soul-searching will occur, quite naturally.
