Christina Romer, the former chair of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers on Friday offered a rather strong opinion concerning the announcement by Standard & Poor's that the credit rating agency downgraded America's debt to AA+.
Appearing on HBO's "Real Time," Romer said we're "pretty darn f--ked" (video follows with transcript and absolutely no commentary needed):

The people in charge of this Administration are simply not normal, responsible competent adults, they are perpetual adolescents with psychopathic personalities with no sense of shame for the pain their misconduct is about to inflict on this country..
If I had done to this country what Christine Romer is largely responsible for, I would publicly commit Seppuku in apology to the American people

Totally agree. Mt wife and I were together for twelve years before she passed, still quite young.
And in those twelve years, I never heard her swear or use a cuss word. Not a single time. Not once.
Of course on two occasions, I did see her break things that didn’t deserve breaking! But she NEVER swore.
The last true lady I can remember meeting. I was the luckiest man in the world. And now I’m one of the lamest...
And I thought the Clinton people were children. Sheesh, they were mental giants compared to this Obambi bunch.
Obama will now shove Geithner under the bus.
Clinton, love him or hate him, was a very astute, capable politician. I doubt this would have occurred under his watch.
But it seems like about six times, I’ve read statements by people coming out of meetings with Zero saying pretty much the same thing. The guy IS TOTALLY CLUELESS!!!
Reading the transcript, it's obvious that Maher set her up for the line. Wouldn't be surprised if they rehearsed it.
Essentially, the execrable Maher put the words in her mouth. But she's a fool for mouthing them.
Why aren’t these people on trial?
Sounds like a conversation that went on in my head on election night 2008.
We need better than 7th grade minds and vocabulary in positions of responsibility.
Ha ha ha!. I thought the explanation for the whole debt ceiling debate and eventual sell-out agreement was to avoid just such happenstance? Ha ha ha!
