Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday that the media has the responsibility to ignore the Tea Party and not give any credence to their views. Here's what he said:
SEN. JOHN KERRY: "And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it's exercising today. The media has got to to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.
"It doesn't deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what's real, of who's accountable, of who is not accountable, of who's real, who isn't, who's serious, who isn't?"

Hey John...
let’s give you the benefit of the doubt and say you aren’t a damned communist.
How would you be acting differently if you were?

The media should stop listening when “somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.”
Doesn't this mean he just said the media should stop listening to him or Obama? If so I am, for the first time, in total agreement with him.

If they did that, J.F. Kerry and his team would not be quoted at all. and we'd hear a lot less blah blah blah.

The best way to put Kerry and his ilk in their place and command press attention is to stage a massive rally/march on Washington to kick off the 2012 campaign season... Demonstrate the commitment and the power of the movement once and for all.

OBTW, did you know he was in Viet Nam??And Cambodia. In 1969. Richard Nixon sent him there.

"The media has got to to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual." Oh you mean like this, Jawn:
"...personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Ghengis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam..."
What a lying, anti-American sack of crap.

What a lying, anti-American sack of crap. It's ironic that Massachusetts sparked the Revolutionary War and now they keep reelecting a traitor to represent them.
I can honestly say that I became more active in politics because of John Kerry.

Kerry just announced he’s running for a sixth term in the Senate, which is perhaps unsurprising given his demonstrated lack of achievement beyond the fact of being a pompous, serial heiress-chasing, tax-avoiding blowhard.

Well, they don’t give equal time to generic republicans either so he’s only suggesting they carry on with business as usual. All liberal, all the time.
To: i88schwartz
Yeah, it's not that the Tea Party's platform are favored by a significant chunk of the American public.
Kerry is the enemy.
