WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration on Monday sued to block enforcement of Alabama's new immigration law, widely considered to be the toughest measure in the United States to try to crack down on illegal immigrants.
The law, known as H.B. 56, was signed by Republican Governor Robert Bentley in June and is due to take effect on September 1. Civil rights groups brought a separate lawsuit challenging the law about a month ago.

The goal is to import and grant amnesty to enough leftist voters to allow them to control all 3 branches of government forever. But it's not just Dems.
WE NEED TO ASK THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO ANYONE WHO'LL LISTEN Why is it lawbreakers have all their home countries.... the US govt and a succession of US presidents ..... defending their "rights?" And not even our own govt is protecting American interests?
THIS JUST IN News reports say Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru are conspiring to collude with The Anti-Defamation League, The American Civil Liberties Union, the Southern Poverty Law Center and several other civil and immigrant rights groups to infringe on US sovereignty to make laws as we see fit. The co-conspirators filed a federal class-action lawsuit against Georgia's law and are now asking a judge to halt the measure pending the outcome of their case.
PS: Lady at our church, who works in a County Health Office said that if this law goes through, they will lose about 65-75% of the people who come to their office for medical care for FREE AT OUR POCKET BOOK COSTS!!!!! All Mexicans.
Perry is even worse.
Perry sucking up to ACORN.
2005 Houston Chronicle pic depicting Perry as an advocate for
"affordable housing," and "lending law reform" (read sub-prime defaults).
(Some of Perry's choices for WH jobs?)
REFERENCE Federal government grants to ACORN---2003-2006
I guess Perry knew all about these (/snix):
<><> Dept of Housing and Urban Development: $8.2 million between 2003 and 2006; $1.6 million to ACORN affiliates.
<><> EPA $100,000 grant to ACORN in 2004 for a Louisiana Justice Project, which removed lead from the homes of low income families.
<><> Justice Dept grant in 2005 for a juvenile delinquency program.
===================================
According to later research, 40% of ACORN's operations were found to be funded through numerous grants it receives from various governmental entities. ACORN also receives funding from a variety of tax-exempt private charitable organizations: the Bauman Family Foundation, George Soros' Open Society Institute, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and from corporate foundations, including JP Morgan Chase Foundation, Ben & Jerry's foundation, Bank of America Charitable Foundation, and Citigroup, as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and tax-exempt foundations affiliated with the founder of UPS.
=======================================
Senate Finance Committee Study (led by Sen Charles Grassley)
ACORN comprises a mind-boggling 94 different affiliates, that amounts to "a big shell game," a biting Senate Finance Committee study shows.
The study, by the staff of Sen Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), reveals four ACORN charity groups give more than half their revenue to taxable entities that engage in "impermissible lobbying and political activity."
ACORN and its subsidiaries for decades have moved taxpayer money into their own pockets and into the left-wing Marxist machine.
Sen Charles Grassley's documents show leaders of ACORN community groups transferred several million dollars in charitable and government money-----meant for the poor---- to parts of the group that have political (and sometimes profit-making) missions.
Sen Grassley's documents indicate that ACORN's tax-exempt groups----along with its tangled web of allied organizations---- used more than half their charitable and public money in 2006 to pay other ACORN affiliates.
ACORN also appears to have been involved in improper use of pension funds ..... some of the founder Rathke's embezzlment was apparently taken from the pension fund using ACORN's American Express card.
This displacement of funding led to the creation of a complex repayment system in which accused embezzler Dale Rathke owed ACORN, and ACORN in turn, owed ABA, which, for its part, wrote off part of the money. (Excerpt) Read more at spectator.org ........

Perry endorsed 2008 prez candidate Rudy Giuliani (RINO Rudy is an ex-Dem
who is persona non grata on FR. Mayor Rudy established New York City as
"sanctuary city" for illegals---handing over city services on a silver platter).
Just preservin, protectin and defendin.
Folks, the clue to unlock mysteries like this is within our grasp. It’s right there in front of us.
Our most sound citizens today, have joined together to form the Tea Party. Who champions them?
The Left calls them terrorists, and the Republicans calls them childish and unrealistic.
The goal for both main parties isn’t to garner new votes for themselves, it’s to swamp good citizen with folks who don’t give a damn about the U.S., and more importantly will only look out for themselves.
Sound citizens need not apply. Sound new citizens are not needed.
Screw the Constitution, full speed ahead. There, both main parties are happy...
They both want unconstitutional governance. They’re getting it. Onward to the Left, comrades.
Perry is a globalist RINO of the worst order, yet a couple dozen FReepers want him to run & win.
B U M P
If we run a RINO, you can just about write off America.
That’s how I see it. We have got to roll back. We simply cannot implement more Leftist agenda for them, and play the status quo for the rest of the administration.
We need to play hardball for every moment we have power. End of story.
Don’t put any novices in there. Please. I want some sort of track record more about displaying sound policy views. Populists need not apply.
So, push comes to shove.
Let them try.
It’s about time that the issue was brought to the forefront and people saw what was really up.

This Regime has absolutely no respect for the rule of law.
Seconded by another Alabamian.
Reckon this is one of the reason the Texas Leg. didn’t bother with trying to push through a similar bill. (or even an anti-sanctuary bill)
Why bother when you’ll just spend money (that most states don’t have) fighting a Federal lawsuit?
"It is clearly unconstitutional. It's mean-spirited, racist, and we think a court will enjoin it," said Mary Bauer, legal director for the Southern Poverty Law Center.Correct Mary. "It is clearly unconstitutional."
Right in Article 'something', Section 'somewhere', Clause 'whatever', Paragraph 'someplace', it states: 'No mean-spirited laws may be passed.' I'm pretty sure it's right above 'Pink Striped Flying Unicorns shall be provided for......"
But you're the 'legal expert' so you can look it up.
Bingo...debt crisis solved
;)
I have to wonder about the org if the website said they were "dedicated to social justice". Religious organizations can be "concerned" about social justice, but should be "dedicated" to higher things.
It is.
We have so many Mexicans in Texas that is necessary to have some in your hip pocket to win an election. Perry knows this. Its either alienate them and get your butt kicked out by a democrat, or play your cards like a poker player and keep a few on your side.
I don't like it any better than anyone else, but its about survival. You run that mouthy anti-hispanic rhetoric out there enough, you'll be back at Home Depot or State Farm.
Easy math, some can't figure it out.
