WASHINGTON (AP) -- Racing the clock to avoid a government default, President Barack Obama and Republican congressional leaders reached historic agreement Sunday night on a compromise to permit vital U.S. borrowing by the Treasury in exchange for more than $2 trillion in long-term spending cuts.

he has been saying that now for months....and he didn’t get his taxes..so he can say it for months ahead..and he will say it...that doesn’t mean its part of the deal or we have to give him the taxes.
As always-another sucker deal. This one we won’t survive. The Bully’s still rule the roost in congress.

We all know there is no default crisis. We also know that these tiny mostly imaginary cuts are out years and I’m hearing Bush tax cuts will be allowed to expire end of this year. We know we’re gonna get downgraded cause nothing discussed in the last weeks does more than spit in a thimble to improve our country’s financial health.
Tea parties have been vilified and they have been the only voice of reason in the whole sickly debate. According to dems and msmedia, conservatives are still killing babies and running over granny. Hell, Pelosi sez we’re trying to end the world as we know it. We got my a$$hat senator Chamblis and McConnell/Boner running around with oral diahrea —— what could be wrong?

This is not a deal. A cut of one trillion over 10 years is almost no cut at all against the multiple trillions they spend each year.
I hope the tea party representatives stand against it — as too little.

When Bush II was in the WH spending got ramped (prescription drug, no child left behind, war, etc.) and Dems were blocking the debt ceiling raise. The fact is the Washington machine wants to spend.
You should ask the Associated Press. They’ve been up his butt the whole time.
