Funny thing all this stuff is mute. We have to make major changes even bigger than the CCB bill.

It is coming and everyone will feel the effects. So why are they still playing games with small numbers? Where is reality and Leaders? Paul Ryan did speak about this today but where is the choir?
There is so much in play right now; hell, it could be right.
I'm wondering what the "lobbyists" are up to about now (K street; right?). All these talks of massive cuts has to be generating open wallets from lobbyists to congress-critters.
This is the crap Republicans have been saying for years. Lets not act Conservative yet because if we do we will lose the next election. Then people will say the same thing after that. What’s the point of electing Conservatives if they don’t do Conservative things? If Conservatives can’t act Conservative without losing elections then it’s not important who wins because we will never be able to do anything significant enough to save our nation.
The fact is it’s probably already too late to save our nation. Does anyone really believe we will be able to cut spending drastically enough for an extended period of time to make the difference needed?
That’s not even taking into account the invasion of illegal immigrants who are literally taking over parts of the nation, and who are supported by the administration(as well as past administrations), and many in both parties. Very few are willing to take a stance against it even when we have had several incidents of the Mexican military making incursions onto U.S. soil. Our own federal government fights against States for Mexico.
The Tea Party movement and the recent State laws on illegal immigration have given some hope, but the problems have went on for so long and are so bad at this point it’s going to take a lot more.

I agree that only a new group of real conservatives can save this country now. The current group are not capable.
Reid does not want to get tagged as the ultimate obstructor. That’s why eventually if the House doesn’t cave he WILL re-vote on CCB and foist it off on Zero.
CCB will be brought up even if the house bill passes. The Senate can't add enough cuts to make the house bill stretch through 2012 without raising taxes or cutting entitlements.

boehner only needs two votes.
If Reid passes Odumbo signs. Anything that Odumbo doesn’t want to sign won’t pass or maybe won’t be allowed to come up to a vote.
I recognize the technology for what it is and will not use it for that reason alone.

Rep. Mick Mulvaney, a no, just walked into Speaker’s office. Said he is still a no. Asked if anything would change his mind and he said no.
Downstairs, GOP leaders were meeting with a number of Republicans who did not want to vote for the bill. I ran into one of them, Rep. Bill Posey of Florida, who was being hauled in for another meeting with the Speaker.
All week, Posey has stayed on the fence, but his body language has been that of someone who is not interested at all in voting for this legislation. He had no comment on where he stood on the bill when asked as he walked down the hallway just outside the House Chamber.”

While I agree Reid does not want to be the "obstructor", I see nothing that would force him to go with CCB rather than his own bill.
ooops...sounds like McCotters thrown in the towel...voting Yes.
Look, all our huffing and puffing, rah rah rah, Boehner should do this, I don’t care, blah blah blah isn’t helpful. What really matters are two things:
1. Not attacking the debt at all, which we all know this bill does none of that.
2. Not coming out looking like the R’s caused damage that Obama and his press can blame successfully on the R’s.
So, point is, I’m fine criticizing Boehner, but acting like brats here and saying, I don’t care if it gets shot down is just silly and immature. We have to call our reps, call Boehner, and let them know how we feel...saying you already did that DOES NOT COUNT...do it again!
Because his own bill is DOA in the House and he knows it.
