I would posit that it did exactly what it was intended to do; i.e. to disarm the vast majority of people and create large zones of easy targets so that the government could have a monopoly on power.
The liberal would say that no one should have guns because some nut case might start shooting people, never realizing the ridiculousness of their beliefs.
It worked the way gun control always works. It created a lot of victims in a horrible tragedy. I cannot believe that anyone pushing gun control feels that any other outcome was possible so yes, they got the outcome they knew would happen.
Gun control fails wherever it is installed.

It is absurd that the security had no weapons it is something that should change but I will bet dollars to donuts that they make it even harder to have a gun now.

Regular police there arent even allowed to have guns. Imagine if at least the police were armed. They wouldnt have had to wait 90 minutes for a swat team to show. Utter insanity

Yes, not having a Second Amendment didn’t help.
But not having a FIRST Amendment is what caused the shooting. In a free country, you can organize a Tea Party, call talk radio, etc. to address your issues, like immigration. In fact we stopped Bush TWICE on Amnesty, and then, somehow, stopped the Dems on the Dream Act.
Would never happen in Norway, as they would lock you up the minute you spoke...for being anti-Islamic.
While no one knows if this guy would have flipped in a free country, there is a darn good chance that the political process in what should be a free Norway might have taken care of immigration to the extent where he didn’t have to take it upon himself.

Actually, the labor government is enforcing multiculturalism and are offten paying for mosques to be build across the country, seems they don’t think the meltinpot model is desirable,

Agree...they know the melting pot will not work...so they want to have parallel cultures (i.e., multiculturalism). Eventually, the ethnic Norweigans will be a minority in their own country...and the problem of IMPERIALISM will have been solved, at least for them. Do it to the rest of Europe, Australia, and North America....and VICTORY AT LAST !!!!
It’s now obvious to most people over there what the end-game is...and hopefully they figure out a way to stop it short of WW3.
