Not suspicious, like not terrorism or not racially motivated.

He wasn’t bound hand and foot, hanging from a staircase in a mansion? Like some pharmaceutical CEO’s girlfriend? That sort of “not suspicious”?

Nothing new on this story but when police state that a person (not elderly or under a doctor's care) died and that the death is 'not considered suspicious', especially in a situation like this, where the dead person (Sean Hoare) was the in the center of a huge scandal, it was probably a very obvious suicide. Hoare was known for having drug and alcohol problems so he might have simply overdosed or, he could have been found with a gun still in his hand. In any case, the Medical Examiner's report should be both exhaustive and revealing.

Honest, your honor, as soon as we finished giving him his obligatory hickory shampoo, he slipped and fell down the stairs at the precinct.

I guess there are a couple of lessons here. Being a drunk, a druggie and a stoolie is not conducive to a long life. The lesson for News Corp is, “Don’t fire the guy who knows where the bodies are buried.”

So not until yesterday do we find out that the ‘whistle blower’ who started this whole mess was an alcoholic/drug addicted disgruntled ex-employee making paranoiac charges into the opening arms of his former company’s biggest competitor.
Sounds to me like a ‘Hitler’s Diary’ leaked to Pinch Sulzberger.
If there is a shred of honesty left in journalism, methinks we will see egg on the faces of all concerned.
