I understand why they did it though; this is a letter for food assistance, it is also posted in English and Spanish. The state is just recognizing the bitter truth that there are many people in the Dearborn area that don’t read English, and across the state that only read Spanish.
Harsh reality, my wife was born and raised in Dearborn, her father had a supermarket/meat store on Warren for almost 30 years. Now there isn’t a sign or a billboard in English along the whole block.

If this man has been appointed to a high position within the Michigan government, shouldn’t he be able to read and write in English?

I see that the Arabic language letter comes from the now retired Ms. Granholm's administration. Any chance that the new state GOP Administration (or the current legislature) will order that the Arabic nonsense be discontinued?
