How are these any different than the spanish ones?

- - - -
It’s not. About 6 months before we moved from California, all of our notices from the city and county would arrive only in Spanish. We called after the first one and was told they didn’t have them printed in English to send us one.

It sealed our decision to move back to America.

My question is this....

If this man has been appointed to a high position within the Michigan government, shouldn’t he be able to read and write in English?

And, if so, why is this letter in Arabic? What does it say?

Don’t know if I am outraged, more like curious.

The spanish ones aren’t part of a totalitarian governmental system that merely includes a religious element, called Islam that is intent upon pushing us into Sharia Law. The spanish immigrants who come here legally are hard working, struggling to become prosperous, starting up their own businesses, and doing work most of these muslim immigrants would not do, as it would be considered beneath them. I could go on, but it shouldn’t be necessary.

Actually, I don't think they are very different.

But I must say that the Spanish speakers mostly did not come here with a doctrine of destroying our way of life. So that's at least a small difference.

I don’t think they are different at all. What you copied was my copy of another poster, my response was below it.

Regarding your statement “But I must say that the Spanish speakers mostly did not come here with a doctrine of destroying our way of life. “ I have to disagree. Most illegals, at least where we lived in CA, came to Cali do do exactly that, and they have. La Raza and MeCHA were big in our area.

My father and stepfather risked their lives coming to this country from Eastern Europe (East Germany and Yugoslavia). My stepfather spent 18 months working for a bowl of pasta a day for the CHANCE of coming here. They both learned English, became citizens, worked hard, paid taxes and proudly flew American flags.

I have a ZERO tolerance policy for illegals.

I understand, and that's why I said mostly. 25 years ago when I went into the 'Sconset (on the eastern end of Nantucket Island off Cape Cod) Post Office and saw signs there in Spanish, I thought it was stupid because one never heard any Spanish at all on Nantucket. (Only German and French, and all of those folks could definitely read, write and speak English too.) But back then La Raza and MeCHA members numbered in the hundreds if they existed at all. That's what I meant by my post.

FTR, I would try anyone who belongs to either group for TREASON, and execute them all.

You ought to see the reactions I get in public when I see Spanish and say to the person with me (in earshot of others, but especially employees) that they are just warming us up for arabic. It is a look of absolute terror.

I see that the Arabic language letter comes from the now retired Ms. Granholm's administration. Any chance that the new state GOP Administration (or the current legislature) will order that the Arabic nonsense be discontinued?

Who is New Jersey pandering to? (You can apply in English, Spanish, Arabic, Creole, Korean, Portuguese, Gujarati)

Folks need to check their own houses before trashing someone elses.

All the more reason we should have English as our “official language.”

Me neither. It's Wikipedia article says it's the 26th most spoken language by native speakers in the world. It's from NW India.

Bizzare that NJ welfare has it. There have got to be more Hindi speakers in NJ and it's not on their list.
