Wife and I joined approximately 150+- conservatives in the 7:00 showing of The Undefeated at the AMC Theatres in Orange, CA at The Block.
Movie was well received by all in attendance with many, many ovations culminating with a standing ovation and even some in tears because of the positive American message that was presented.
The movie was simply awesome!
It provided much more background on Sarah's executive experience with a strong emphasis on her limited government approach to government in general.
It covered her come from behind elections for both her campaigns for Mayor and Governor, as well as, her time on the Oil and Gas Commission of Alaska.
The movie also makes a great case as to why the GOP establishment fears her.
And finally, the movie really shows why those of us who have supported her really respect, for her sincerity. This came shining through.
An added bonus was Andrew Brietbart and Mark Levin simply excoriating the GOP Elite and leadership, particularly Brietbart calls them for what they are Eunuchs.
If anyone, with even an ounce of sincerity and a conservative bent can come out of this movie without either an enhanced positive opinion of her or a changed opinion from negative to positive, then that person is probably not sincerely a conservative.
Those of you who are naysayers of Palin or her supporters, do yourself a favor and go see the movie with an open mind, it will change you.
Those of you who think this movie will do nothing to further Governor Palin's popularity or acceptance by the mainstream, will probably change your opinion if you are brave enough and objective enough to go see the movie.
There was an Afterburner, organized by Organized4Palin, at the El Torito in the Mall parking lot. 40+ people showed up, including Tammy Bruce. Apparently there were similiar Afterburners after earlier showings as well.
The movie will play both Saturday and Sunday at this theatre and then I believe they are going to try and extend the run based on theatre attendance, which by the way, on a per-screen basis was only second to Harry Potter.
Rondog, EveningStar, and several other Freepers(whose names I have forgotten given my poor memory) were in attendance at the Movie and the Afterburner.
Well, this was a freep then, right?Yes, this was a "FReep" -- and yes, that is a GOOD thing!Thats a good thing, Id say.
I wish I could go and see the movie but i live to far. :(
Any protesters or anything of the sort?Nah. But this was in a fairly nice (mostly Republican) part of ORANGE COUNTY.
Our only opposition so far has been IGNORANCE and APATHY......but, we're ready for the "bad guys," too...
...when they discover how powerful this new movie will be.As I posted previously:
In the words of King Leonidas (from the movie "300"):Protestors outside "The Undefeated" showings would generate a lot of what Steve Bannon calls his "unearned media" strategy.King Leonidas: [on being told the Persians are coming to parley] Captain, I leave you in charge.
Captain: But, sire...
King Leonidas: Relax, old friend. If they assassinate me, all of Sparta goes to war.Pray they're that stupid. Pray we're that lucky.
Thanks for this thread, SoConPubbie, and for the onging updates, RonDog. A lot of us don't live anywhere near where "The Undefeated" will be showing, and have to wait for the DVD from SaraPAC. In the meantime, these FReeper reports are fascinating.
I really loved Tammy Bruce’s comments in The Undefeated. How great that she came to mingle.
And thank you for all you are doing to help all of us help Sarah Palin, RonDog.
I've been out feeding the "Google-bots." :o)Hey, Google-bots!Check out what currently shows up in the first few hits of a Google search for:

I would like to criticise one thing though. Something which needs to be discussed. The narrator of the film was Tammy Bruce. She was also the guest at the after party. She is not only gay but pro choice and I don't understand why Sarah would allow her to represent her in the film or lead the movement to promote the film. Also, the people who gave the party were very obviously gay. I don't know if Sarah would approve them being in charge. Maybe Rondog can explain it to me. I thought Sarah was against compromise and the old politics. Mind you this hasn't lessened my opinion of her. I just want to understand. I don't see Sarah as a WOMENS LIB candidate. She is a Christian candidate in my eyes. So I would like some help here...
LOL!
No, there was lots of cheering and clapping during the movie. No boos.
There were people from as far away as San Francisco who came to see the movie...you may have to travel a bit but its worth it.
Thanks for saying something about this. Not only is Tammy Bruce openly Lesbian, she is also pro-abortion. SHE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE!! It was inappropriate to have her in this film and possibly damaging to Sarah Palin. I am fairly certain that Sarah would not approve of it.
And as Abigail2 points out, there were people at the after-party who did appear to be gay and positions of promoting the event. What is going on here? Christian Conservatives are not going to be accepting of this sort of thing, nor should they be.
It was playing at only 10 theatres nationwide. One of those theatres was less than 7 miles from our home. The next closest theatre was over 350 miles away in Phoenix. Given this opportunity, it was only right that I give the movie a fair viewing.
Both my wife and I are retired, so we selected an early afternoon weekday showing when most people were working We were thus able to get better seats. For that time of day, the movie was fairly well attended. The theatre was about 1/3 full.
My wife and I both found the movie overall to be powerful and well done. It shows Palin at her best. The movie was well edited and quite moving. My wife came away with a new respect for Palin. My overall opinion of Palin remains unchanged. But that discussion is for other threads, OK?
Now, if the movie is going to be edited before its full release, I have some minor suggestions:
There is one major fix that I would suggest, but due to the time and expense involved, I don't think it will be done. In this particular theatre, the musical score was loud and intrusive. It may have been a problem with the way the speakers were balanced. I don't know. However, the movie needs to be re-scored. Right now, the score runs continuously through the entire movie. It was like watching a David Lean film. Any moment I expected Lawrence of Arabia to ride over the horizon on a camel. Just kidding, but the score should be drastically reduced and limited to the more dramatic moments of the movie.
There were also a few occasions where I found myself laughing at some of the symbolic clips exploding volcanoes, etc. Im not sure if I was supposed to be laughing.
Still, the overall movie is well done.
As to the theatre audience reaction, they were enthusiastic. During the third act of the movie, they applauded and cheered several times.
Why did I see a headline last night crowing about how nobody showed up at Orange CA. to see the movie. Just one reporter in attendance they said. Were they lying? Naw...couldn’t be.
I agree 100% with your critique of the movie. I couldn’t read the captions either. I would agree they ought to make a few changes.
The guy was attending a midnight showing. Most people didn’t even know about the midnight showing, and even if they had, few would have gone.
What exactly is an AMC theater? I wonder if we have one where I live.
Thanks. I did find out that the showing was a setup to try and sabotage the film.
