I’m 67 and still have to work to live.
And do accept my sincere sympathies for having all your SS taxes being stolen for all those years.
So whats new ???
shortly after he invaded the WH he was trying to get the wounded soldiers fresh from Iraq and Afghanistan to pay for their own treatment and doctors and hospitals and they were still in the Army and Marines...
How shocking does it get ???
That very well could be one of my options in the near future.
There shouldn't be any rancor intended. The vast majority of us on SS today started paying into the system many decades ago. It isn't our fault that since then the democrats turned the system insolvent. Yes, it's a ponzi scheme, but not one we created. The best of all solutions would be to privatize the system, insuring that all in the job market, or who have contributed to the SS system, will have their contributions rolled over for investment. That's what we need to get across to Congress. Naturally, the democrats will fight that tooth-and-nail, but we can hope that come 2012, a new regime will be in place with a much more friendly ear to our needs.
Im also on Social Security and I hope that Boehner and the House Republicans call his bluff! “ <<<
YOU are a patriot.
He done messed up and gained a lot of Republican votes for 2012.
People are not as dumb as Obama and soros think.
Because Lyndon Johnson robbed the 'trust fund' to pay for the "Great Society' and 'War On Poverty'. Because of that, for the past 50 years, Social Security has been nothing but another tax to pay off another 'entitlement'.
I'm still wondering? When will the dims present an exit strategy for the 'War On Poverty'?? We've spent more on that war than all the other wars we've had in our entire history. And, we're still loosing!
Please try to remember that “someone” funded your life for about 20 years. That would be us working folks aka mom and dad.
Post of the day!!!
DAMN THEM ALL!
It's simple math:
1) The government currently borrows $0.42 of every dollar it spends.
2) 60% of the federal budget is consumed by interest payments on the national debt and social entitlement spending - Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, unemployment, food stamps, etc.
Put these two facts together and you can see that current revenue alone (58% of the budget) IS NOT ENOUGH to pay for debt service and social entitlements. They could completely eliminate the entire US military and every other department of the government, leaving only social spending and debt service, and they still couldn't cover it all on revenue!
The fact that there are still people, even conservatives here on FR, who believe that "it's OK, they won't touch MY government check", shows me that as a nation we simply are not prepared to come to terms with what an instantaneous 42% cut in the federal budget will mean. And this is why eventually the House will cave and raise the debt ceiling.
The checks don’t go out and the outcry will make the Bonus March seem look like a mixed social.
One notices the execrable Dem ad on TV where three actors play angry senior citizens damning any budget deal because it will cut their medical coverage: “What were you (Republicans) thinking?!?!”
If the Republicans call his bluff on this, you'll see the brownshirts in the streets. The flash mobs in Chicago who were attacking white folks or whoever wasn't one of their group were just a dry run for this and confrontations Barry has planned before the election. He figures that every confrontation he can cause helps him win back his base and get him that much closer to being able to steal the election and that many more people motivated to turn out the next time he wants a mob.
That is what I was waiting for yesterday...a blatant lie; and not a peep out of the GOP...
cartoon of obama pointing a pistol at the head of an old lady:
“gimme the money or grandma ‘gits’ it in the head.”
its the chicago way.
