This morning, there was a stunning development in Congresss investigation of the Justice Departments Fast and Furious gun-running program: it was revealed that on July 4, Kenneth Melson, the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Obama administrations intended fall guy in the scandal, broke ranks with his superiors. Without their knowledge, he gave an interview to Darrell Issas House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, accompanied only by his personal attorney. While a transcript of that interview is not yet public, it is clear that he blew the whistle on senior officials in the Justice Department.

Issa and others recently made a trip to Mexico...I’m guessing they brought back a lot of information:
Unreal. They're actually scooping Drudge. He's got nothing about it on his site.
Perhaps so, but Gunwalker is the name given to the whole scandal by Codrea and Vanderboegh.
You're right, macquire - it's popcorn time.
This isn't from some whacked out blog; this is testimony of a senior government official made public!
The letter from Grassley about Melson’s testimony is astounding. It looks pretty likely that this could at least take Holder down.
I'm sure he(Holder) will do everything possible to protect Obama from being implicated; but who knows.
This is way beyond “-gate.” A border police officer died. A lot of Mexican citizens died. I think they should start a new moniker. “Fast & Totally F****d Up.”
Of course he did. That's what he meant when he said "We're working behind the scenes" on new gun regulations.
bttt
Oh that's right!!! I totally forgot about Bloomberg coming out here and trying to set up a purchasing sting at some gun shows! Good memory!
>>Americans have gotten used to eating a lot of sh*t from these ratbastards, but I don’t think they’d swallow this one.<<
Who are you kidding? Yourself probably. Americans will tolerate being x rayed, poking, probing, groping and body cavity searches for the privilege of being squeezed into an airplane by obnoxious stewardesses and young queers all for the opportunity of seeing cartoon characters in Disney World.
To most people, Operation Fast and Furious is not affecting them personally so it will quietly ride off in the sunset while they watch their favorite TV show.
BTTT
The Media will ignore this until there is a perp walk, and then act surprised.
I don't think they were tracked particularly well. I heard on the radio locally that it has come to light that when six people plus Gabby Giffords were shot down in Tucson, the DOJ sharted out a few bricks because they thought that gun might have been one of theirs.
The government's goon squad was kept in the dark?
Hardly. Sounds more like they are being given cover stories to absolve their involvement.
Nuremberg on the Potomac.
One can dream
More than one American death tied to F&F:

From March 31:
Border Patrol Agent Terrys December 16 murder has been racked with secrecy, even though two of the weapons recovered at the scene were part of a controversial ATF gun walking program. Multiple sources from the region have reported a virtual lock down of any information regarding Agent Terrys murder. Active BP agents have been told to keep quiet or they risk their jobs, says one retired Border Patrol agent who lives in southern Arizona.
The controversial ATF program Fast and Furious has been credited with ties to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jamie Zapatas murder in Mexico as well.
>> Without their knowledge, he gave an interview to Darrell Issas House Committee
My left eyebrow just touched the ceiling...
They can't. Hillary's in this up to her bulging eyeballs.
the State Media should be able to keep this grassfire from spreading so it will never even so much as singe the Chosen One
Kevlar bodysuit for sure.
