Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
As they should.
Absolutely, but I’m afraid our system has turned into nothing more than which side has better lawyers. High profile cases seem to have higher than average acquittal rates and I think it’s because they attract high caliber defense lawyers. On the flip side, when some poor schlub from the ghetto is accused of a crime that gets no attention outside the small municipality it occured in, the prosecution runs roughshod over them. The imperfections of our legal system have always bothered me tremendously. Unfortunately, I’m not sure a better system has been devised. When cases of life and death go the wrong way, it’s troubling and I think this went the wrong way.
Dunno, that is the whole problem with this case, there is no evidence that proves or supports any ones speculations.....it's all based on emotions and no concrete evidence either way.
Careful though, I was called a conspiracy nut for questioning why the IMF dude was thrown under the bus so quickly, why his elitist friends didn't come to his rescue....remember that one wideawake?
LOL, Ron. Proof read your posts, why dontcha?
So you say you have “ON” interest in discussing issues. Would that be “an” interest in discussing issues? or maybe “one” interest in discussing issues?
Oh! Wait — you have NO interest?
You make it too easy.........
No.
dumb people play games.
just trying to educate othersabout you.
Actually, I think I’ll paraphrase Churchill. The jury trial is the worst judicial system except for all the others that have been tried.
Earlier today a poster sent me to a site where they had detailed all of the evidence gleaned from investigating Casey. In this trial, we only heard a small snippet as to her lies and manipulation of people. The girl is souless and is a sociopath. There were very damning things about her.
Having her loose on the streets is a danger to anyone who isn't smart enough to see her for what she really is. The cops said they have never seen a more proficient liar in all their years. Sociopaths tell their lies and actually believe them. Casey is a criminal mind and she could be emboldened by this.
I’d like to change it, as many others would, but it is impossible, isn’t it. The status quo prevails. Even in small ways it is impossible to get through.
I barely avoided a penalty years ago when during jury selection I informed the court that I am not the defendant’s “peer”, as, truthfully, I wasn’t.
We’ll be assured in the coming days by the status quo defending MSM that such miscarriages of justice are rare and that is how the founders intended it, and so on, everything to keep the peasants, that is us, from grabbing their pitchforks.
I find it frightening, actually. If I have to hear "It was an accident" one more time I'll scream. If it was an accident, why didn't they convict her of manslaughter? The other brilliant comment that really gets me is "I wasn't there." Excuse me, how many times did we hear that one from the O.J. jury?? Every time I hear it know I am listening to a real Einstein. How many times are we actually AT the scene of a crime? So then we can NEVER weigh motive, opportunity, means, consciousness of guilt, etc., unless we were actually there? Well then hell, why have a trial?
Ranking what up there with "I wasn't there" is "I didn't watch the trial, BUT.." Sorry, no buts. If you didn't watch, read, or follow, why would you offer an opinion? That's sheer idiocy.
I am really steamed and truly sickened by some of the clueless postings I have read tonight.
No, this is a much better “professional” reaction...
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer saw defense attorney Cheney Mason make a vulgar gesture toward the prosecutor with his arm.
*******
Spectator Patrick Fowler, of Tampa, called out for Baez to leave the restaurant. He didn’t think justice had been served and made that known. Baez, who was drinking what appeared to be a beer, looked up and smiled a few times.
One of his drinking companions, a tall, slender man wearing a plaid shirt, came close to the door and made a lewd gesture with hand.
A couple of minutes later, Mason moved closer to the door and made a lewd gesture at Fowler.
You should have done the prosecution’s closing. Your post would have illustrated for these fools why their doubts weren’t reasonable.
Of course you are easy to bait. You prove it each time you respond. Good night.
How charming. Casey apparently found attorneys who share her social graces or lack thereof.
I did consider it; but Baez contradicted himself many times. Whether the child accidentally drowned or not; Casey being the last person with Caylee is responsible. Baez only said George found the body.
Thank you. You are right.
“Looking at what happened today I am convinced more then ever that Obama will be re-elected..people can look at the facts and either not care or just not pay attention.”
OMG...I had the same exact thoughts. We are a Confederacy of Dunces and it is over for this country. Stupid people reign. I can barely stand it....
...No doubt in my mind that Obama is reelected.
Sounds like Fowler got what he deserved! As far as the WTF Bill Sheaffer? Let me guess, he was unhappy with the verdict as well?
