Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
A nice, clean gotcha with the DNA and intact body absolves the jury from having to think too much and actually assess what really happened.
It also makes them feel good because they didn’t have to make a tough decision. It was easier this way.
It's an amazing thing to watch, isn't it?
How easy it is to whip up an emotional frenzy even amongst Conservatives?
Scary actually, when you consider we all supposedly profess to follow and respect the rule of law and then can't take it when it's not perfect and doesn't meet our desired outcome.
The court is deaf to a lot of things. You apparently are parsing words to fit an agenda all your own for reasons only you know. Again, is that you, Casey?
Either one must be what happened. The kid is dead and died without justice. Ashes in an urn in a home of lunatics who pretend grief.
Excellent comparison. There is as much if not more evidence here as for Scott Peterson.
It’s ridiculous for people like sean Hannity to be so sure the prosecutors did not make their case. Common sense is still something to rely on. You don’t only need a video of the perp committing the crime. I find it insane to see how many people on tv actually agree with this verdict.
There is no way anyone but Casey did this premeditated murder. Maybe they should never have gone for the death penalty, that would be a mistake they made. But there is no way the baby was not murdered. And every sign points to Casey.
I recall Baba Wawa saying on national TV about ther O.J. Simpson case (wait for her opinion of this case tomorrow morn. Can we bet on what it’ll be?) “We’ll never know who killed Nicole!”
All of you defenders of the most perfect legal system under the sun bringing up the Constitution, the Saintly Founders, and all other cliches that we have heard a trillion times (that’s one thousand times one billion), please defend for us not John Edwards’ azbestos riches, but the Amirault case.
Thanks for stringing these sentences together, this is exactly what I have been trying to say.
fine..you don’t like some outcomes....
Change our system to the european system or another system or the military trial system.
Whoever said our system was perfect? That it is not riddled with innocent convictions of guilty people? Yeah its flawed, yeah it is often corrupt..I understand only too well.
For now, as bad as it is often it is way better for the defendant—any defendant that has to go through our justice system—than the ones I mentioned above.
To complain about our justice system is not the answer. Making changes is the answer. The definitions and protections of our legal system are not “cliches”...they ARE our system.
Maybe you should ask Al Sharpton or Eric Holder who desperately DO want to change our system..I don’t think you will like their answers.
You know it is Scary. I 100% agree with you. And even Hannitty tonite. I have a funny feeling this is not over. But a wife does not have to testify against her husband. Stay tuned. What if Baez theory is the truth? Something no one was willing to consider.
Judge Belvin Perry Jr. refused to release their names, which was highly unusual. Identities of jurors normally are public record after the conclusion of a trial no matter if it is high profile or not.
Attorneys representing The Tampa Tribune and four other media organizations filed a motion with the court late last week for access to the names of jurors once the case concluded. The judge has scheduled a hearing Thursday to decide the issue.
Gregg Thomas, the Tribune’s attorney, said it’s highly unusual for a Florida judge to keep jurors’ names secret.
“The names are public record,’’ Thomas said. “The names should be released immediately. We shouldn’t have secret juries in Florida.’’
The five alternate jurors were asked if they wanted to be the focus of a post-verdict news conference, and all of them declined as well. Two of them, however No. 14, Russell Huekler, and No. 16, Dean Edward Eckstadt did consent to releasing their names.

The Anthony family statement said, “Despite the baseless defense chosen by Casey Anthony, the family believes that the jury made a fair decision based on the evidence presented, the testimony presented, the scientific information presented and the rules that were given to them” by the judge.
The Anthonys asked for privacy “to reflect on this verdict and decide the best way to move forward.” They asked that well-wishers hoping to donate stuffed animals or toys near their home donate those items instead in Caylee’s name to “families in need, religious centers or any other entity where the toys would be appreciated.”

Throughout history has there ever been a murder of a 2 year old that was premeditated? I mean the whole thing is sick. The only thing I can think of is wwii and death camps. I guess when a 2 year old is thrown in a gas chamber, that is some form of premeditation.
Well, I do think Dexter should take care of Ms. Anthony. ;o)
You are ever so brilliant...who would have thought of your very “personal” comment as a response to a post?
so much more brilliant than using logic or arguing back in logical fashion.
At least I got over being a hippie and now am a smart conservative...that is a lot easier than getting over “stupid”...so maybe YOU need to get off the bong, or the booze!
Just can’t get over your oh- so original response...gosh, no poster has ever done that. HOW did you ever think of that? Must have taken all night to come up with that response!
Thank You for that! It`s just that it scares me to think if some of the folks hanging around the Florida Court house had been on the jury? Or anybody`s jury for that matter.
If you happened to see the Prosecution post verdict press conference? The man that spoke for the entire team (while all the prosecutors stood behind him) said this...
“It was a dry bones case, very difficult to prove” that was the exact quote..he went on to say that the science etc was very hard because of various problems,ie body decomposed etc.
Well listening to the prosecution closing, no mention of this being a hard case to prove, they said it was a slam dunk pretty much, and that the science was clear and overwhelming??
They are singing a different tune now.
Hit nerve did I?
“Again, is that you, Casey?”
I don’t bait so easily, you aren’t clever enough to pull it off.

Limbergh baby?
Dianne Downs?
You left out:
(1) the dog alerts
(2) post mortem hair in the trunk of Casey’s car
(3) the audio telephone conversations between Casey and her family; where they express mistrust in her by (them) wanting to know what happened— and not getting a reasonable explaination from Casey
I don’t get it. I’m hearing “it wasn’t proven beyond a reasonable doubt” all over the TV.
Yes it was. They ignored the evidence and bit at the red herring. Timothy McVeigh’s case was circumstantial too.
