On Fox now, Marylin Koepp, with the National Memorial Ladies. She is reporting that the VA banned the group from saying either "God" or "Jesus" at veterans' funerals in Houston. Haven't seen this reported anywhere else.
Did the VA ban “Allah” and/or “Muhammad”???
What does the VA have to do with funerals?
Usually they are religious events.
Pretty clear at this point that we are nearing the end.
Given the VA’s lack of standing in such events, this report smells a bit.
My thought exactly. Did they ban the mention of Allah, Mohamad, or prayer rugs specifically?
It’s way past time for push-back on this stuff.
Scrooge ‘em all them effin godless tasbards. All the favor the Almighty has shown to us all—— well we will Praise the Name of Jesus and honor the Almighty God ANYWAY. They can keep their godless eternity to themselves... FOOLS....Leave the rest of us believers alone as the Constitution grants...
Don't be silly, that would be racist.
and what does it say on the Tomb of the Unknowns?
Or worse...there are too many "grassy knolls" in a cemetery.
I think the attempted estermiations of Gods chosen people would have been a stronger indicator.
Any preacher who “honors” this rule should be drummed out of their church.
“and what does it say on the Tomb of the Unknowns?”
Maybe that is why there are ongoing investigations into Arlington.
She's been telling private groups the wrong information with the result that she's violating the "free exercise" clause, as well as just plain old "free speech" standards.
In one situation she referred an affected person to consult with the Deputy General Counsel of the VA in DC, and he ordered him to comply.
BTW, we've gone over this particular story a half a dozen times today.
It's more than likely the VA managers in Houston have been misinformed by VA headquarters in DC simply because they are incapable of communicating in English.
My understanding is that funerals are private matters and jackbooted thugs from the government play no part in them. So, I feel free to say whatever I want, and if they don’t like it let’s see them drive their cars away from work this evening without any valve cores in the tires.
This is the woman who is dictating what can be said. What I don’t understand is this is NOT her first cemetery rule so she has had to have done this before.
