SAUDI ARABIA BANS JEWS

Saudi Arabia bans Jews.

Really.

That came to light recently with public disclosure that Delta Airlines had, as part of an agreement with the government of Saudi Arabia, agreed not to fly any Jews to the Muslim kingdom.

Nor can the American air carrier transport any items forbidden by Muslim law, to include alcohol and non-Muslim religious items.

Translation: Leave your Bible at home.

No item of non-Muslim religious apparel or worship is allowed in the kingdom and Delta has specifically promised not to carry them.

In defending itself, Delta says that it is merely observing the culture and law of this nation, as it would with any other nation.

Which, I guess, is fine. Any more, there is no particular shame in moral weakness. Nobody else stands up for what is right, so why should Delta?

And my quarrel is not with Delta.

The fact that an American company would sell its soul to pick a few more petrodollars is not news to me.

But this reminder of just how barbaric Saudi Arabia is.

This incident ends up not being about Delta, it ends up being about Islam, and the incredible international double standard that exists in relations with the Muslim world.

Muslims demand complete freedom and acceptance – even official sanction and support – in Europe and the United States – the one-time “Christian world” – but allow none of those same protections to non-Muslims in its own world.

American newspapers are crowded with op-ed pieces demanding tolerance and acceptance by Muslim imams. September 11 is remembered on many college campuses with symposia on respecting Muslims and honoring Islam. Every impediment must be removed from the path of Islam and its followers.

That’s what they demand of us.

And yet they give nothing in return.

Rather, they do just the opposite.

As the Saudis demonstrate – and they are thought of as the most modern and cosmopolitan of the Muslim nations – they have no tolerance for people of other faiths at all.

Christians may come, with an escort, but they must bring nothing whatsoever that has to do with their faith and they are not free to speak of or publicly demonstrate their faith.

A Christian in Saudi Arabia is forbidden to wear a cross while a Muslim in America has a legal right to the call to prayer.

And the Muslim leaders and people of Saudi Arabia see nothing wrong with that hypocrisy and double standard.

Christians find hostility to their religion in Saudi Arabia. Jews are forbidden completely.

Why?

Because Jews are seen as infidel sub-humans whose mere presence would taint the homeland of Islam’s holiest sites.

Heil Saud!

An entire category of humankind has been outlawed by a people who, were it not for a few oil deposits, would be primitive desert herdsmen.

As it is, with trillions in wealth, they are most primitive when it comes to notions of religious equality.

Imagine the worldwide outcry there would be if any nation on earth forbid Muslims to fly onto its territory.

What if the United States – which has repeatedly been targeted by Muslim terrorists – banned Muslims from flying into the country?

It would be before an international court of human rights in the blink of an eye.

And yet Saudi Arabia, which has never been the target of a single act of Jewish terrorism, very happily bans Jews.

And it’s bigotry is not alone in the Muslim world.

You may have heard that a year ago a governor in Pakistan was assassinated by one of his bodyguards. The guard, who was cheered as a hero, said he killed the man because he had “disrespected” the nation’s blasphemy laws, which forbid criticism of Islam.

What, specifically, did the governor do?

He visited in prison a Christian woman who had been sentenced to death for herself violating the blasphemy laws. He said that perhaps compassion was justified in her case, that the death penalty might not be warranted.

And what had the woman done?

What was her blasphemy against Islam?

She drank water from a well from which Muslims also drank. And she, of course, as an infidel swine, polluted it spiritually by her mere presence. The only solution, local officials decided, was to force her to convert to Islam. She refused. Refusing to accept Islam was considered blasphemy and she was sentenced to death.

And suggesting that that was extreme got a governor killed by his own bodyguard.

After that killing, by the way, some 40,000 Muslim clerics marched through the streets of Islamabad in support of the bodyguard and declaring that Islam required him to kill the governor.

These people are savages.

And they want to take over the world.

And you are a bigot if you say so.

In our countries they demand rights and protections they wouldn’t think of granting us in their countries.

The threat of Islam isn’t just bombs and butchery, it’s a philosophy that says a Christian can’t drink your water and a Jew can’t come in your country.

And those views aren’t held by extremists, they are held by the American-backed governments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Those are the policies of “friendly” Muslims.

And that’s not right.

And you are a bigot if you say so.

If there was ever a company that needed boycotting, it's Delta. I'll start.

I’m with you. But it won’t be a hardship considering delta is a pos airline to start with.

Based on this, anything that comes from "one nation under God" should be banned from Saudi Arabia. No supplies of any kind, as they were all made or made available through "one nation under God" and should - of the Saudis are REALLY as dedicated to muslim as they claim - be offensive.

I can't wait for the day we get a real president and congress and start supplying our own oil, and tell those towel heads to go to hell...or whereever it is they go in muslim-land.

My philosophy is, if everything we do "offends" them, then don't have a friggin' thing to do with them, at all.

Sometimes when someone is pushing you, you need to just jump asiden and let them fall on their face.

And Delta, you go along with this and you will be officially deemed a "flying mosque" and I hope you are boycotted until you rot. Tell the Saudi's to f*** off and cancel all flights to their country.

None of this new, it has always been this way. All of this applied when we lived in Saudi 30 years ago.

its not surprising - Islam is Mohammed’s knock-off version of Judaism and Christianity. These illiterate bedouins simply took what they knew of the ancient religion of the area (Judaism) and combined it with what they knew about Christianity - with, of course, a huge dose of their tribal culture.

DELTA proudly introduces SHARIA law in the “UNTIED States of America”.
If that DELTA flight originates in the USA and is specifically made SHARIA compliant, then DELTA has truly sold its soul for a whole bunch of pieces of silver (maybe barrels of oil). Screw ‘em big time.
I get the point, though. As a Jew I will respect DELTA’s desires and personally avoid the use of any of their flights.
After all, as an American, I support their right to their own convictions, and so should we all.

So before everyone goes off of the deep end on this go to the Delta web blog and read all there is to read.

Here is an excerpt...note that if you want to boycott Delta...you may as well boycott United/Continental, American and the others who have the same or similar agreements.

Also note the the magazine that started this has retracted the original article.

excerpt from blog:

Today we’re still getting a lot questions from you about our association with SkyTeam and Saudi Airlines. We realize a lot of these remain unanswered, so we’ve compiled a list of the top questions we’re seeing in hopes of shedding further light on this issue.

Q: Will Saudi Air’s membership into SkyTeam affect Delta customers?

A: Simply put, no. We don’t intend to codeshare or share any reciprocal benefits (such as frequent flier benefits) with Saudi Air.

Q: Will any customers of Delta ever be discriminated against on their flight?

A: Absolutely not. As a global airline, we don’t discriminate against any of our customers in regards to age, race, nationality, religion, or gender.

Q: What’s your association with SkyTeam?

A: We’re a member of the 14-member global airline alliance based in Amsterdam.

Q: Do you operate any service to Saudi Arabia?

A: No, we don’t codeshare with any airline on flights to that country.

Q: Do you have any association with Saudi Air?

A: Yes, we have a standard industry agreement with them, which allows passengers to book tickets on multiple carriers. We have similar agreements with Saudi Air that American Airlines, US Airways and Alaska Airlines have as well.

There’s more to the story:

Saudi Arabia (and most Muslim nations) won’t allow anyone into their country if that person has an Israeli stamp in their passport.

But, other than those two tiny flaws (not allowing Jews or Israeli passport stamps), Muslims are totally tolerant - well, except when they’re not.

Those have been the customs and immigration rules for Saudi for many decades. Why is this just hitting the news now?

“Saudi Arabia (and most Muslim nations) won’t allow anyone into their country if that person has an Israeli stamp in their passport.”

This isn't true of Egypt, as I have several friends who have traveled recently (since the beginning of the so-called “Arab Spring”) to both Egypt and Israel.

Yes, Egypt (at least so far), Iraq (as long as we’re there), Jordan and Kuwait (depending on the Immigration Agent), and UAE are exceptions.
