Do Conservatives REALLY want Rick Perry to Run? - Vanity
June 25, 2011 | no dems

Rick Perry:
1. He has done his best to sell Texas' private land to Foreign interests for the I-35 Corridor project which is sometimes called the NAFTA Super highway.

2. He also forced Texas teenage girls, by "Executive Order" to get the HPV vaccine.

3. He supports the IPPF ( International Planned Parenthood Federation). He received much praise from the Democrats for this action, and was demonized by the states Republicans for that choice.

4. Perry also receive a BIG THANK YOU from the Mexican President Vicente Fox for his "Sanctuary Citys" and giving Illegal Immigrants FREE instate tuition to Texas Universities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?f... .

So, If you want to compare Texas to the nation in the 2012 Election (because Texas is a success story right now), then run a TRUE Conservative who is the “most powerful person in Texas politics”, the Lieutenant Governor, David Dewhurst.

The only reason Rick Perry stays in office is because Texas is a Red State and he never has a strong opponent.

To paraphrase my dear mama, “If Sarah Palin told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?”

You're asking the wrong person here that question.

Perry's economic record is as good as it gets. He is solid on social issues. He's be slam dunk to be Obama.

Well, people who know Rick Perry best (Texas Conservatives) will NOT vote for him in the Texas GOP Primary. Don’t be surprised if he does run that, like Al Gore in 2000 General Election, Perry loses his own State in the GOP Primary. For real!!!

If you want to be taken seriously I suggest you at least post the TRUTH.

The home builder Perry (no relation to GOV) Conserv? Repub and big GOP donor and chris Butt of HEB groceries are the ones trying to stop the Sanctuary City Bill. GOV. Perry has said he will sign it.

That is the first time I have heard that a Lt. Governor has more power than the Governor. Ridiculous.

Check it out my friend; it's a fact. I was born in Texas many years ago and I know my Texas Politics.

Please address the four points that the OP made. I’m sick of warmed-over platitudes about candidates who are being sold as “conservative enough”. Convince us, if you can. Bob

She quit as gov of Alaska, when the MSM and Dems were attacking her full force.

She quit because state-controlled media hired operatives to file dozens of frivolous ethics complaints against her. Those operatives now have jobs with state-controlled media. The legal costs were bankrupting her family.

Personally, I prefer somebody as President to whom a few hundred thousand dollars is a lot of money.

They did this because they are terrified of her.

But you want someone that state-controlled media likes. You think you're going to get an actual conservative that way?

But keep spouting the Democrat talking points. It let's everybody know who you really are.

I agree. Romney only won the Massachuttes GOP primary for President with 51% and Rudy lost New York to McCain. About half of Texas freepers can't stand Perry. Those who know him best don't like him.

I would never support the Punk over Perry, but is Perry, with the aforementioned liberal positions, really the best that America can hope for? We are approaching primary season now. His support for the IPPF makes me ill. Bob

I am a Perry fan. Prefer 1. Bachmann, or 2. Palin as nominee. Pawlenty or Perry as VP.

Despite all his shortcomings, Perry is a strong states rights, 2nd A, and economic freedom low tax governor.

Mint is pro-choice, pro-healthcare, pro-tax, pro-big government. Newtrich is liberal and past his sell-by date. Cain is just a pzza guy.

This time it is the women who are destined to rescue America.

While that may well be true, I hope we actually have a candidate who is considerably better than an orange juice can. I’m keeping my powder dry, and my money in my pocket, until Sarah Palin announces.

I got a reddish envelope from the RNC this week with FINAL NOTICE printed on it. Exactly like the ones prior to it that have come in the mail, I tossed it into the “Round File!” No money for RINOs!

In order of preference:

1. Palin
2. Perry
3. Bachmann
4. Cain

I’d vote for any of them against Obama. I’d even hold my nose and vote for Romney against Obama. I think Ron Paul has a screw loose, but I’d even vote for him against Obama.

Watching a RINO gives us socialism slower than Obama is just as bad as Obama. Maybe worse because the Republican Congress would go along with a RINO.

True conservative Texans want RINORick Perry out of the Governor’s office — but not at the price of putting him in the White Hut.

1. He has done his best to sell Texas' private land to Foreign interests for the I-35 Corridor project which is sometimes called the NAFTA Super highway.

So, you're saying that Perry would use eminent domain to personally confiscate the land, then execute a warranty deed, with Rick Perry being the grantor and Cintra Zachry being the grantee? There was no plan for this. Sorry to disappoint you.

2. He also forced Texas teenage girls, by "Executive Order" to get the HPV vaccine.

This is an outright lie. Perry issued the EO after the CDC recommended the vaccine. The EO stated that if parents didn't want their daughters taking it, they didn't have to take it. That's not exactly Perry forcing girls to get the vaccine.

3. He supports the IPPF ( International Planned Parenthood Federation). He received much praise from the Democrats for this action, and was demonized by the states Republicans for that choice.

I have never heard of this, and did a google search tonight. The result? I still haven't found anything on this, except this exact post on several other websites.

4. Perry also receive a BIG THANK YOU from the Mexican President Vicente Fox for his "Sanctuary Citys" and giving Illegal Immigrants FREE instate tuition to Texas Universities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?f...

For starters, that is not a valid youtube link. Secondly, the comments you are referring to made no mention of sanctuary cities. But, nice try in throwing that in there.

So, If you want to compare Texas to the nation in the 2012 Election (because Texas is a success story right now), then run a TRUE Conservative who is the “most powerful person in Texas politics”, the Lieutenant Governor, David Dewhurst.

Dewhurst wasn't the one going out of state to recruit these businesses to Texas. Also, since you want to brag about the powers of the Lt. Gov, Perry was in that position before getting elected 3 times as governor.

The only reason Rick Perry stays in office is because Texas is a Red State and he never has a strong opponent.

Yup, that's why, and the only reason. I guess the popular and well dug and VERY WELL CONNECTED KBH was a weak candidate.

You are spouting LIES. I don't care if you don't like him. Don't vote for him. But, you are a liar.
