City of Boca Raton Charges Tea Party $6,000 for Police & Barricades But MoveOn.org Gets Free Pass

Donald Trump spoke at the Boca Raton Tax Day tea party rally in April. The Donald hammered “make-believe” Obama, the “worst president in American history” in his speech. The tea party crowd loved it.

But, the tea party crowd didn’t love the bill the city sent them after the event. The City of Boca Raton charged them twice as much as they anticipated for police and barricades, nearly $6,000. But the city did not charge MoveOn.org a dime for an event they held just three days later.

Can’t they force some equal treatment under the law?

Either drop the bill or also bill MoveOn.
Fair is fair!

It’s only relevant the estimated number of attendees listed on each permit application. That’s how many people the city would have been planning for in the amount of police and other city employees they scheduled for the events.

I'd suggest here that we keep our wits about us for a moment. Obviously Moveon.org was far more dangerous than the TEA Party.

I'd go to court to impose a far higher fee on them ~ retroactively. Maybe they didn't know the rules, but that'd make sure they did in the future.

Then Boca Raton can afford to refund the fee they charged the TEA Party.

Because they know the Tea Party organization will need protection from violent lefties, whereas the Moron.org crowd doesn’t need to be protected from Tea Party types.

I also heard the City DID charge Moveon as much as the Tea Party but realized that was futile when Moveon pulled out their EBT cards...

Trump is gonna pay the bill:
Donald Trump will pick up the tab on more than $6,000 in unpaid bills for an April Tea Party rally in Boca Raton, a representative said Wednesday.

"Mr. Trump was honored that the Tea Party event orchestrated by Everett Wilkinson generated more than 5,000 people to come hear him speak," said Michael Cohen, executive vice president and special counsel to Trump. "Mr Trump does not want any citizen's group to be disparaged or burdened for exercising their first amendment rights, and he has agreed to personally cover the cost to the city of Boca Raton."

I’d guarantee the Boca police/sanitation department had NO work after the tea-party rally. I’ve attended a few in DC, and remained well after the crowds dispersed. Nary a piece of paper remained on the ground at any of the events.

Screw the bill to Boca Raton. Plan another event, and refuse to pay either. Then recall each bastard sitting on city counsel who approved the billing for TP but not MO. Someone needs to get ballsy with the counsel.

The place has never been the same since Jerry Seinfeld’s dad lost the Presidential election for the El Boca Vista Phase III Condominiums Owners Association.

Ah. My mistake.

In portuguese, ratão is pronounced very similarly to the spanish raton, with accent on the last syllable, and in portugues, ratão means RAT.

In portuguese, the word for mouse is rato, with the accent on the first syllable, like rata in Spanish.
