Here's another slick dehumanization of the unborn: The writer casts a doubt as to whether they are even "here."

Then, there's the tired, old and made up declaration of "reproduction rights." Never forget that that was made up from whole cloth by Roe v Wade. There is no such thing.

That's par for the course when attempting to defend permissive abortion policy without suffering severe qualms.

Go ahead, kill your unborn baby, or if you prefer “terminate your pregnancy”.......just don’t make me pay for it.

God created “Reproductive Rights” and it is these low-life rationalists that are taking it away.

Here's what I wish most of all: I wish there was as much passionate concern, the same raging commitment for unwanted children already here as there seems to be for the ones who might be.

What a bunch of tripe. First of all, the unborn children are here just as much as the born one (otherwise, there could be no abortion).

Second, people desperately want children; wouldn't it be great if those children were available for adoption instead of being dismembered and thrown in a trash can? (And, on the flip side, if the children were available, would so many couples spend thousands on fertility treatments--possibly guaranteeing that whatever medical conditions prevented them from being able to conceive naturally are passed on to their children?)

Third, it is the pinnacle of selfishness for the mother to rationalize looking out for her convenience by claiming that the kid will have a rotten life if she doesn't kill it. The time to think about whether a kid is convenient or not is before getting pregnant, not after. But I guess avoiding pregnancy is just too inconvenient, as well.

I guess this woman does not realize that the religious and the conservative are the most generous contributors to private charity and the group as a whole dedicated to adopting children.

“But it is not the government's right to assume control of any woman's reproduction rights.”

I think she means “any women's” choice to kill another human being that resides in her womb...As far as I know there are not any current laws telling an adult, sane, woman how many children she can have, who she can have intercourse with, or how many times....assuming she keeps the action within the human species.

To the stupid author who thinks that those of us who don’t have abortions are “being treated well by life,” she can just stuff it. Life hasn’t always been kind to me but I had - at the very least - the strength to avoid having an abortion. And I think of Sarah Palin - knowingly carrying a Down Syndrome baby for 9 months - and refusing to abort him. Has life always treated her so kindly?

This same writer makes her ideological caucus with the people critical of Michelle Bachman's involvement in the foster care system.

My conclusion is the Leftwingtards hate babies.

Why, you goofy sack of rat crap. Nobody has a right to kill an innocent human being.

I would remind the writer that no one has ever sought to assume control of any woman's reproductive right. When a woman has an abortion it doesn't prevent her from becoming pregnant in the future. In fact, many women have multiple abortions.

The opposition to abortion is to prevent the death of an innocent human being. It could be easily proven that a preborn in the womb is indeed a unique and separate individual human being by doing a DNA test between mother and the preborn. But you'll never find a liberal with the guts to do the test.

Typical liberal. Do what you want with no consequences, and if conservatives demand that there be consequences they should have to foot the bill. Why should I have to pay you for your child because you wouldn’t keep your legs together?

Just another liberal playing semantics with words. Remember Liberals think children are “burdens”

Thousands of couples desiring children to raise as their own and who cannot have children and this dumb bitch uses this excuse to justify murder in the womb?

>>Here’s what I wish most of all: I wish there was as much passionate concern, the same raging commitment for unwanted children already here as there seems to be for the ones who might be.<<

Wife and I have and did: We adopted two boys at birth and were on our way to a third when my wife got pregnant the first time. After eight more pregnancies (two were miscarriages), we wound up with 8 boys and 1 girl in our family.

So don’t talk to me about “unwanted children” - there is no such thing, only unworthy parents.

I'm not pro-abortion. I'm pro-choice.

Do ANY of them realize just how asinine that statement is?

If there's nothing wrong with abortion, why not be pro-abortion? And if there is something wrong with abortion, how can a person be in favor of allowing others to "choose" it? It's one or the other.
