Washington (CNN) - In an interview after his presidential announcement Tuesday, former Utah governor and ambassador to China Jon Huntsman tried to downplay a letter he wrote to President Barack Obama in August 2009 calling him a "remarkable leader."
Huntsman told Fox News that he was only alluding to the fact that the president would appoint a Republican to "a position as important and sensitive as the U.S. ambassadorship to China."

He has pledged not to attack Obama during the campaign. Sounds like McCain “Lite” to me.
This is an easy decision.

I heard him on CNN this morning. Besides praising Obama for “loving this country” the guy could not answer a direct question. The info-babes must have asked him 10 times and 10 different ways his policy on afghanistan and the troop size. Ten answers later and you got all the proof you need that this guy is determined to play the typical politician BS game of never giving a straight answer. He is a loser of all loser.
He should stop reading his own press clipping and drop out now. He’s an embarrassment to himself and his family.

Huntsman has been thrust upon us by the inside the 'Go along to get along' beltway Republican elites and the media will beat the drum around for him the clock.
All of this will be dutifully and rightfully ignored by those outside the beltway who want a winner. And Huntsman ain't it!
Follow the money and find out where the seed money for Huntsman's initial buy in, seed and campaign money has come from. My guess is that it didn't come from his own private coffers.
Just my two cents.
Jack.

One of the funniest aspects to this guy’s “candidacy” is that so many people are completely clueless about whether his name is “Jon” or “John”. People can be as sloppy as they want when posting about Huntsman and nobody cares. That doesn’t say much for his prospects.
To: MrB
He is indeed “remarkable” in the sense that many remarks can be made. However, a more accurate adjective would be “incredible.”

Huntsman, you can’t admit you are a sell out and you poisened your own candidacy with your very supportive commentary regarding Barry Soetero.

I have never seen a less inspiring, milquetoast candidate running for POTUS. His announcement was so boring the Statue of Liberty behind him showed more life. This looks like a purely personal move to run. Resume enhancement. He can tell people he ran and people will want to talk to him at cocktail parties.
Unless you set your hair on fire and run around playing a kazoo out your ass, no one is ever going to notice you Jon.

But, but, it has been noted by members of the “Intelligensia” that his pants have really nice creases, actually “presidental creases.” What idiots!

Huntsman has no chance for the nomination. Of course, I thought this also of John McCain, who was sure to lose. He will, however, split the vote that will help M. Romney.
