Awwwww, poor poor WaPo. First they had to sell Newsweek for $1 and now states are fighting back against “The Party” and their “elections”.
... because the only people who get screwed by the fraud are Republicnas, and no one cares about them, so there is no problem at all ...
Exactly how “hard” is it to vote in any state, Compost? Oooohhhh, they have to get an I.D. How oppressive!! /sarc

Dionne can shove it.
Dionne can shove it.
I’ve relegated everything Dionne says to the realm of satire.
I always love to read the whining of scumbags like Dionne when they complain that the Democrat party base of ignorant, uneducated tax-eaters is being “suppressed”. Cry me a freaking river.
The ONLY way I can tell that what we are doing — on any given action — is fair, moral, and Constitutional, is by how shrilly E.J. Dandyboy shrieks.
You couldn't ask for a better indicator that fraud is central to the Rats' 2012 election strategy.
Battleground states that lack strong anti-fraud measures need to get them in place, pronto.
Just because voter fraud hasn’t been actively prosecuted, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen often. We have seen examples where THOUSANDS of ballots have been rejected because ACORN was literally trying to stuff the boxes. And how many examples of close races where Rats have “found” boxes of ballots in the trunks of Rat operatives?
Not a whimper from these pukes when ACORN was trying to register a bunch of bogus voters.
I think this demonstrates that the left is getting nervous, that they are perhaps beginning to think that even with the help of the GOP elite (trying to throw the election) they will need fraud to pull out 2012.
E.J. is a pathetic and sickening excuse for a human being. As is anyone that agrees with what he has said here.
Dionne is such a wussy.
He E.J., how about we have people who voted dip a finger in ink, like they did in Iraq?
Of course it isn't. The problem is fraud by the people who count the votes. Just ask your buddy Joe Stalin when you see him, E.J.
I attempted many times to post a lengthy response to this article. Surprise, surprise, though I have a legitimate ID, the system JUST wouldn’t let me post this:
“The ONLY way to be sure that what America is doing (on any given action) is fair, moral, and Constitutional, is by how shrilly E.J. Dionne shrieks.
As one individual already pointed out, the most concrete complaint is that Texas permits CCW ID, but not student ID, as proof of residency. Well, that goes without saying! A student who *is* a resident will have any number of other forms of legitimate ID with which to vote. A student who is *not* a resident will have one less chance to commit voter fraud with their Student ID,
The two ‘studies’ Dionne points to, are produced by Cornell — the most liberal bastion of uberleftist thought in a hardcore leftwing state — and by New York University School of Law, which is Cornell on liberal steroids. There are numerous reports showing the opposite, but these are by equally-partisan groups, and I will not insult the readers intelligence by professing they are any more truthful than Dionnes specious sources.
The point is, there are enough suspicions — on both sides — of voter fraud in any number of manners. Since voting is infinitely more important to the country than your possession and use of a motor vehicle, it only makes sense to safeguard our laws, freedoms, and elections by requiring you show us that you are who you say you are, and that you live where you claim to live.... kinda like they do with drivers licenses.
In the long run, it can only help us, if Voter Identification is universally adopted, since Americans on both sides will have greater faith in the system.”
