CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas Police responded to a stabbing about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of Willowbrook Drive, said spokeswoman Senior Officer Julie Garcia.
Two musicians staying at the home were drinking through the night and began arguing over religion, said Lt. Raymond Lara.
One of the men stabbed the other in the back, then afterward slashed his own arm from the wrist to the elbow, Lara said.
Both men were taken to the hospital with no life threatening injuries, and no charges had been filed by 8:30 a.m.

Confucius was a wise philosopher, he wouldn’t touch religion with a ten-foot pole.
I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. So I ran over and said, “Stop! Don’t do it!”
“Why shouldn’t I?” he said. I said, “Well, there’s so much to live for!” He said, “Like what?”
I said, “Well, are you religious or atheist?” He said, “Religious.” I said, “Me too! Are your Christian or Buddhist?”
He said, “Christian.”
I said, “Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant?” He said, “Protestant.” I said, Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?
He said, “Baptist!” I said, “Wow! Me too! Are your Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?
He said, “Baptist Church of God!”
I said, “Me too! Are your Original Baptist Church of God or are you Reformed Baptist Church of God?” He said, “Reformed Baptist Church of God!”
I said, “Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915?”
He said, “Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915!”
I said, “Die, heretic scum!” and pushed him off the bridge.
Emotional musicians, one with a knife, both drunk, one mentally ill. Methinks religion didn’t have much to do with the stabbing.
I learned quickly when we have our weekly music sessions here NOT to talk about religion or politics, lest you incur the wrath of our lead singer.
He’s a very nice guy, otherwise. :)
OTOH, there were also alcohol and music so we can probably rule out Islam.
LOL!
The people I sing with (see my profile page) eschew both politics and religion as conversation topics.
And the Baptists!
>>> Hes a very nice guy, otherwise. :)
LOL, so are the two musicians in the story. Normally. :))
Good Lord, sound like the Free Republic Religion Forum.
...or one of the old “Cre-vo” threads...
“I learned quickly when we have our weekly music sessions here NOT to talk about religion or politics, lest you incur the wrath of our lead singer.”
This is why we have a no-music policy here on FR. Those crazy musicians!
