A Detroit father said agents with the Transportation Security Administration singled out his special-needs son for a pat-down while the family was headed to Disney World, MyFoxDetroit.com reported, an incident that the TSA admitted was a “case of bad judgment.”
David Mandy said agents at Detroit Metro Airport took his son Drew, 29, and asked him about the padding underneath his pants, which turned out to be adult diapers. Drew, who is severely mentally disabled, had trouble understanding the agents’ orders because his family said he has the mental capacity of a 2-year-old.
When the father tried to intervene and explain Drew’s disability, he said the two agents said, “Please, sir, we know what we’re doing.”

Everyone knows that we could go back to pre-9/11 technology and use the same techniques that El Al has used for DECADES to avoid a problem. They don’t use any of our most new-fangled stuff and certainly don’t use stupid random techniques.
God forbid we screen people who pose a higher than average risk - instead we are submitting to a system that produces naked scans of law abiding citizens, and sets up humiliating screening of special needs citizens, toddlers, old people, amputees, etc. Makes me sick.
I wonder what the qualifications are for a job at the TSA. I wonder who they are hiring.

So according to dumbass Napolitano, there is no reason to screen middle eastern men who are under the age of 35, but the TSA found some ridiculous reason to pat down this mentally disabled man..absolutely disgusting but not surprising

I’d like to see a copy of their job discription. It has to say something about groping kids and old ladies rather than antagonizing Islamoterrorists.

I can tell you that the TSA guys that I have encountered didn’t look like the sharpest knives in the drawer.

They probably draw job candidates from inmates in maximum security prisons.
